Brother cannot log in(incorrect details)

My brother has tried multiple times to reset his password, but it keeps telling him his name is wrong. My brother only has 1 name so I can't see why it's not working... And we confirmed his email by checking it to see if the tamriel email appeared- and it has. We have tried his name spelled differently, using middle names, and even using my name since I bought the game for him. What could we be doing wrong?

Is your brother able to log in to the account website at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/ ?

If not, please give a shot to recovering the UserID just to make sure it's correctly spelled.

Nope, nothing. email spelled correctly tried multiple times, perhaps when he signed up he accidentally made a typo and mispelled his name?
