Cannt do Lifting the Veil quest (Lvl 11)

When i give the sword to Palomir and he said Drinks, the game had to teleport me to another place, but from yesterday i cannt do with my new character i try to abandon quest, relog and nothing. I try to do other quest and come back later and this is still bugged.This is a Main quest Line and i need to do for the SP. For the record i see and talk with a lot of people that can do the quest without problems. Wish u fix pls.

Same here. The quest "Lifting the Veil" does not progress past the "Drink..." cue. It looks like an old bug may have been reintroduced in a recent patch. In any case, progress in the Skywatch and Veiled Heritance questlines has been completely blocked for me.

No Gms or Devs? i had to reroll character for this bug .. but most people would be leave the game if bugs like this continues. Pay attention and fix quick.

Have you tried going to the island yourself? Maybe this is simply a 'transport' bug and the quest will progress when you get there?

I may be wrong but I thought there was a way to get there from the mainland other than this 'teleport' means.

@Rottley bugs like this existed for literally many months after launch, if you check patch notes in June, July and August last year you'll see similar game-breakers still being fixed.

A good suggestion, but it doesn't work. My character at least was not able to interact with the NPC on the island and could not continue the quest. IIRC quest with the transport bug would still fade as if your were porting then pop a zone-transfer error. This bug doesn't seem to be getting that far.

Like Salmonleap i tried too but u cannt pass the Drink.. Task of the quest and u cannt talk palomir in the island.

@Kragorn I dont play in the launch but this game lost a lot of people in that time, i just wanna this game grow up in population now that i am playing and with the B2P option this game can grow up more. Anyways before the 1.6 i dont had a single bug in this game, so i think the problem is the update and they need to be fast with the solutions, early levele gameplay define if the player stay or leave, or if he pay ESO plus or not.

Thanks for your reports! Our team is going to take a look, and any additional information you folks can provide is very helpful (including a video if you are so inclined). Just to confirm, at this time is the quest still not advancing? And have you tried abandoning and reacquiring the quest? We see that you saw others discussing this bug in chat. Are there still others discussing it?

@ZOS_TristanK, I have abandoned and retried that quest 20 or 30 times in the past week. I've tried on my gaming rig (a PC) with Add-ons, without Add-ons, with every non-OS, non-essential process turned off, and on a different computer (Mac Pro, vanilla install, no add-ons). The quest behaves exactly the same for me in all instances. I get to the "Drink..." prompt and then nothing happens. As for chatter in zone chat? I don't know. That's about the first thing I turn off when I phase into Coldharbor on a new character.

Sorry to hear my suggestion didn't work, I'm not surprised but it was worth a try.

As for your "very basic" English .. I can assure you, your knowledge of 'my' language is likely vastly superior to my knowledsge of yours.

Well i try 3 times now (bandoning and reacquiring the quest) and still get stuck in the same place (when u had to be teleported tothe island after ur character drink automatically).

Well i had SS of the moment (i cannt record my internet is too slow for upload a video in few time).

For the record i try getting the sword from the guardians paying and using intimidate option. With my other character i use teh persuade option but in this character i dont had more points to test if the only way the quest is working is using that option.

@ZOS_TristanK When the bug happened to me i whisper a few guys that i see doing the quest but they dont had issues with the quest.

I've submitted a ticket to CS in-game and while I was doing a quest at the ruins of Ezduiin (north of Skywatch) and was at the point where I had to enter Ayleid Vault (?) instead of teleporting inside I was teleported to Errinorne Isle where I could continue with Lifting the Veil quest after first logging into another character then back. I don't know if this is due CS or the bug, but I'm glad that I could continue with the quest line. Hope you guys can continue as well.

@Zagato i tested and dont work for me, maybe a GM use the famous scrpit to fix you the quest.

@ZOS_TristanK Yes sir, i always do when i try to do the quest. Abandon quest and go talk a NPC that gives me the quest. Anyways when u need some test you can whisper me when i am playing my other characters and i can log in with the bugged character to try to help and test whatever u want.

I am stuck at the same place. I have tried after patch, on two different computers, one a complete vanilla install with no addons and reacquired the quest 10-20 times now. Did a request ticket but no response yet.

Just says "Drink...." and the guy gives me a cold stare. If I relog the NPC goes away and I have to start over.

EDIT: I left it at "Drink.." for a few hours doing other quests and suddenly got teleported to the island, while I was somewhere else entirely. I had to relog to get the disguise back on and continue the quest but it was fixed. For anyone else stuck on it, try to keep it on "drink"..... That's all I can say -_-
