Have to repair my game files....again

Well new patch and once again the same error message I got from patch 1.6 forcing me to repair my game files even after closing the launcher and retrying.

You think they would have releasing patches down by now.

Same here. I've never had to repair before that I can remember, but now we get a relatively small patch and I have to repair. It says "the repair process could take a long time to finish". Awesome!

Be glad you can repair instead of reinstall? It's the nature of the system. It could be better for sure, but it could be a heck of alot worse.

I have found that for some reason, the main problems for me are usually in the "game" folder in your "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder.

When I get the repair messeage I just delete the "game" folder as it is only about 160mb and do a repair and it only downloads files for the "game" folder. If I don't delete the "game" folder I usually get stuck with repair showing up instead of play no matter how many times I do repair.

After that no problem.

Yeah this is my 2nd time having to do this. It's like having to reinstall the entire game again and then some.

Like I said at this point and with the same problem occurring with patch 1.6 with many players they should have releasing updates and patches down by now.

But hey it wouldn't be like Zenimax/Bethesda to release something and have it fully working, something has to be wrong with it.

Well, I was able to load the game fine without repairing. I don't launch the game via the launcher, I launch it directly and only use the launcher for patching. It said "repair", so I closed it and launched the game. I'm looking at the character select screen right now. I may run into issues playing, who knows. It did take a long time to do the initial load, but I think that's normal. Something to do with the shaders or something on initial load.

Meh, I'm having the same issue I always do after a patch; infinite load screens. Ran a repair, which usually fixes it but doesn't seem to have helped this time.

Not to mention the game just up and froze a few seconds after logging in just now. I really wish they'd do something about how their patches always seem to break the game more right after release.

Yep... first time I've ever had to do this myself, so not sure what to expect, although slightly annoying it does let me catch up on my shows on Hulu and Netflix, that and have a social life ha. Either way hopefully I'll at least be able to get into the game later tonight.
