EDIT: This was NOT fixed by today's patch. I abandoned and re-did this today with the exact same result as in the video: Still stuck :(

The quest Lifting the Veil in Auridon is broken. When you get to the point where you are supposed to automatically drink and travel to the island, the quest NPC disappears and the objective sits there at "Drink" but there is nothing you can do and no way to advance the main quest.

    Have you verified your game cache/checked that all the required files on your client are intact? I didn't experience this bug - maybe the mesh file for the NPC, or a script or something client-side is broken, causing your client to be unable to display the NPC at the correct time?

    (Or hey, maybe there's an item in your inventory you're supposed to drink? Or a drink on a table somewhere? Or heck, can you just TRAVEL to the objective? Sorry, my memory wears thin)

    I just did that quest only I hoose to me the captain in Vulkelguard and it worked just fine. Try using that option instead.

    Tried all options so far, nothing.

    Abandoned the quest and did it again after completely closing the game and re-logging. Same thing.

    This is not the main quest, you can bypass it. The main quests have you go to the harborage. Just FYI.
    Though hopefully they sort you out soon, I would just venture on and do other quests until its fixed. Try to complete it right after a server reset like on Monday.

    It is part of the Dominion Main Quest. And, if this is on Cadwell's silver, then it's absolutely necessary to advance to Gold. You can't just, "skip it, everything'll be fine, honest."

    Semantics. Let's not argue.
    Yes, it is a AD quest. Yes it has the AD story progression in it. Yes, if you are not AD you will need it for Cadwells.

    No, its not the Main Quest, those are, in Auridon: The Harborage, Daughter of Giants, Chasing Shadows etc. These latter cannot be discarded and unless completed will not allow game progression to the vet areas.

    However, however, I am not suggesting any quest be abandoned, nor ignored.Nor am I without compassion or regard to the posters plight. It is unfortunate, much like when Melanie never showed for months after launch, this quest line has been bugged in one way or another since beta. Work with it, work around it, get help from customer service, its what we all do, and have done since launch. IF one wanted, they could choose not to do it (if AD) and continue on, as in the case of a person fast leveling an alt.

    It IS a main STORY quest, which means that I'll be missing out on all those skill points.

    Also you can try joining up with another that is doing the quest and sometimes that works to progress thru the glitched part.

    Tried this. Didn't work. I have repeated this 5 times now, trying every method of getting the sword from the guard (persuade, intimidate, and bribe), and also had a group member turn it in first. They were teleported, I was stuck.

    This happened to my account before, when I was permanently stuck in werewolf form. This is a different character, but I think ZOS has some sort of spy software running on my account to collect game play metrics or something, and it is causing issues like this. :p

    I tried it with no addons running as well. Same problem.

    I will post a video once it is uploaded. Extremely frustrating.

    Did you file a support ticket and in game /bug? If you are having this problem then it is likely others are too. Or are you just trolling?

    I did file a support ticket a day and a half ago when it happened. The system says there is a 3-5 BUSINESS day wait, so I should hear back from them sometime in the middle of next week...

    I deleted the auto-generated email with the ticket number, and there doesn't appear to be a way to check the status of open tickets within your account, otherwise I would post the number here.

    There isn't any auto-generated email. Thanks for answering the question. Now did you also file a /bug report in game at the time and place where this keeps happening to you. It sounds like it is 100% reproducible so you could easily file a couple that would help ZOS figure this out. You do get a ticket number for each bug report you file, so keep track of those and file them here so that ZOS can reference this issue easier.

    I have filed many tickets in the past and every time I have received a "thanks for taking the time to contact blah blah blah" email. I have bug reported this already with /bug at the spot in-game.

    Just chill. You weren't responding and lots of people who are trying to troll do exactly that, don't respond.

    I'm trying to help you. This is a quest that has been buggy for others in the past. When I was testing it in beta that happened to me. If you have bug report ticket numbers that you can record here it will give ZOS more information as to what is happening in game.

    I found out just a couple of days ago that there is no auto generated email when a support ticket is filed. I suggested that they implement one, but who knows if that will happen.

    This happen to a few character in specific. I help the support team for a couple of week trying to get a solution but this tuesday they found a solution, they gonna implement this solution in monday patch. If u continue with problem feel free to post tomorrow after the patch .. i gonna test too and contact the support team.

    Lifting the Veil: The step of this quest that involves drinking Palomir’s concoction to visit the island will now more reliably work as intended.

    The Veil Falls: Fixed an issue where Heritance Cutthroat would occasionally flip into walls or other fixtures and get stuck, blocking your progress.

    I just abandoned and re-did this AFTER the patch and it did NOT fix the problem.

    Same exact result as in the video. ZOS hates me, or loves to lol at me. XD

    My entire account has been bugged for weeks by some obscure glitch which causes any quest that is supposed to teleport my character to a new location to fail. I am not able to continue the main quest due to this quest being blocked:

    (This was NOT fixed by the patch today that supposedly fixes this quest.)

    This has been going on for WEEKS since my character bugged out transforming into a werewolf during the Molag Bal fight and became stuck in a permanent werewolf form unable to attack while the interface spammed "Immune" over and over again.

    I have yet to hear from ZOS and am completely unable to play thanks to this.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_GaryA According to @AlienDiplomat, his issue still isn't fixed even after the patch. Sounds like there is something else going on with his issues that need looking into.

    Since he says this has been happening since the first glitch with getting stuck in WW form is it possible that they are related or connected somehow? I know that WW has been really buggy for some people.

    He did @Rottley. He also posted one of his bug reports here along with a video showing what happens to him in game.

    If it's happening to him it's probably happening to others as well who are likely just giving up and moving on.

    I dont had any problem to do this quest with other 2 or 3 characters more in the same account.
