If craftable it has to be a super rare ingredient!

If you are going to make XP potions and expect them to generate revenue, they will need to be more than 25%.

In theory, 25% bonus would be 5 potion earned CP for every 4 normal earned CP. 4 normal CP would take, in theory, 2+ hours of grinding per CP. So that means 8+ hours of grinding and 4 XP potions for one additional CP. In my opinion, its not worth the weak buff to hassle with them for 1 additional CP per 4.

So I would probably not waste my time with them. The price wouldn't be the issue. The convenience would be.

The best way to sell xp potions (convience) is to make normal xp gain slow(inconvenient).

Xp potions are not a temporary boost for some, they are in reality a permanent xp nerf for all.

If XP Potions exist, they shouldn't give any boost at all to champion points. Otherwise you just create a giant divide between players and promote pay2win.

If they only apply to veteran levels, I guess I'm fine with it. Some people play casually, others grind to hit max rank, still others choose to simply pay for max rank. Either way everyone eventually reaches max rank, thus doesn't bother me.

Right solution here is to block potion effect on CP, only for more faster leveling, but no bonuses to CP gain speed.

Here's my suggestion:

- Weekly limit of 5 XP potions of any kind per account!
- Bronze XP Potion/Beginner's XP Potion: 100% increased XP for characters of level 1-50 (has no effect for veteran rank characters and does not increase Champion XP); lasts 2 hours; costs 100 crowns.
- Silver XP Potion/Veteran XP Potion: 50% increased XP (regular XP for all levels, including veteran ranks; Champion XP not affected; not affected by Enlightenment); lasts 2 hours; costs 100 crowns.
- Gold XP Potion/Champion XP Potion: 25% increased XP and 25% increased Champion XP (veteran rank characters only; not affected by Enlightenment); lasts 2 hours; costs 100 crowns.
- Only one potion effect can be active at a time!

Formula suggestion for regular XP:

basic XP + basic XP * ( Pledge of Mara bonus modifier + ESO Plus Member bonus modifier + potion bonus modifier )

Basic XP would be the amount of XP a character would receive without any bonuses (but with increases or reductions based on group size and contribution already included).
The Pledge of Mara bonus/ESO Plus Member bonus modifiers would be .1 (if the character has that specific bonus) or 0 (if the character doesn't have that bonus).
The potion bonus modifiers would be 1 for Bronze Potions, .5 for Silver Potions, and .25 for Gold Potions (if the character has the effect of that specific potion) or 0 (if the character doesn't have the effect of any potion).

Formula suggestion for Champion XP:

basic XP + basic XP * ( Enlightenment modifier + Pledge of Mara bonus modifier + ESO Plus Member bonus modifier + Gold Potion bonus modifier )

The Enlightenment modifier would be 3 (for enlightened characters) or 0 (for characters that are not currently enlightened).
The Gold Potion modifier would be .25 (if the character has that effect) or 0 (if the character doesn't have that effect).

Examples:

I don't care what kind of experience boosters are available. The more the better because leveling alts in this game is BRUTAL.

lol all the people who just don't want xp potions are lame... Is it your first time playing a MMORPG?

And if you don't like how the game works just quit, no one will really care, mostly from every veteran player that leaves, a new player just starts playing the game...

And that thought process leaves us hoping people spend RL money on wedding dresses or we will all be looking for a new game in 6 months.

Both crown store and available with in-game gold/crafting, less then 2h 25% boost
Also potion only affect 1-50 lvl
Also up trial reward by 5 times and hard modes by 10 times

And 50% is too low. With enlightenment i get not 150% but 400%

You've limited it to 25% potions.

I'd never buy a 25% potion, it's too low for the money.....

People cry too much about P2W.

The truth is there is exactly one player ahead of all the others and exactly one player behind all the others. Most of us will never reach the first. The last will never reach most of us. Buying XP potions is like transferring time from your day job to your game. You work more irl to play less ingame, which is fine if that's how you roll.

Just keep in mind that a missed block, a wrong dodge-roll or a mistimed skill can erase the advantage of hundreds of CP.

Now, if the store starts selling powerful armor sets or weapons for crowns, I'll start worrying...
