I tried coming back, I really did but I don't have anything else much to do. I played the hell out of this game all last year and definitely got my monies worth but I played it too much I guess? There is group stuff I haven't done yet but I just can't get into that for some reason, maybe the process of meeting/dealing with new people and well, a bunch of other reasons. I could go search for the liar and all the other achievements but it just doesn't appeal to me.

I have plenty of gold, I have all the crafting(all motifs and most recipes) maxed except for a few nirnhoned skills. I completed Cadwell's gold and played a ton of cyrodiil. I ran a couple more toons up to vet level and never did mind the leveling process. I was always curious if there are more that try to grind or if there are more that just play the way the game is? I mean you hear a lot of people complain about the grind through vet levels but is this the majority or the minority?

Ah, who am I kidding, I'll be back in a couple times a week and do some stuff but I am looking forward to some DLC and soon hopefully...

If you played in September and you are returning now there are exactly 0% of new content, new quests or new tasks to do now.

That's the real issue behind ESO TU and console launch - everything done now seems to be focussed on gathering new players instead of caring for the ones they already have.

And there is no DLC coming before console launch and that are still another 3.5 months.

Although you are right on the wait time for DLC, but for the PC at least it might come sooner then later the Consoles.

Not sure how other games go, But I played Defiance(i know kind of a crap game). But when I was playing and they had patches and DLC all the Xbox and Painful for Playstation people had to wait months After the DLC/patch went live on PC.
this from what I heard is from the console people(xbox/playstation) had to approve of every single patch and DLC before they allowed it on to their systems.

I stumbled upon this a few minutes ago from Zenimax article(b4 launch):

“You need to make sure there’s something for those players to do that’s new and refreshing on an ongoing basis. So […] we’re planning regular content updates and pretty substantial ones like every month to six weeks — we’re working on the actual cadence just now — but we’re already working on post-launch content.”

I imagine they will add something ridiculous like a extra Daily dungeon quests (not a whole new dungeon) and call it a DLC so people have to subscribe to get access to it .....

When you say DLC, do you mean you have to pay to get the DLC?

Why cant it be like GW2, have a living story? That's one of the best things that game has for it, alongside the PvP.
Why should I have to pay for minor upgrades to the game?

I don't mind paying for an expansion, but tiny upgrades, they should be free. Exception of outfits, cosmetic type stuff, mounts, stuff in that nature I'd be perfectly willing to pay for.

But content added to game like Living Story type stuff, it really should be free, if its not you'll separate the community as in those that have the DLC and those that don't. And that doesn't work, look at Everquest. GW2 giving everyone free new content, is doing very well with it.

I thought whole point of B2P was that you don't have to pay anymore to get new content unless its an expansion. Making new content and expecting people to pay for it, isn't a good strategy.

Ask yourselves ,is the little income worth losing playerbase??

Look at how other games handled things and what failed is likely to fail again and what was successful is likely to be successful again.

There's a lot wrong with you post. I'm just gonna point out one thing though.

I'd also like to ask why did you leave GW2?

They already proved that statement wrong, 1.6 took 5 months to hit the game and gave us no new content at all.

Most B2P games offer free content as well as payed content. ESO has delivered nearly no content in its P2P run, I think they owe the playerbase some kind of free content.

At least Imperial City should be free for everyone, they announced it in May last year...

ESO needs to become more of a sandbox type MMO, the Justice system as it is now is start to that end, when players are able to take out bounties on one another and hunt each other it will be a lot of fun!

I'm playing MMO games since '97. Started with Ultima Online.

And almost 20 years later , people still moaning for same thing for every single MMO. "There is no new content" for a game that released only 1 years ago.
I wonder if people will ever change after another 20 year.

Maybe, A BIG MAYBE, they'll surprise us all and release Imperial City with Console Launch. But I highly doubt it.

Haha I know right. Even assuming that you'd be someone who plays 10hours a day there are still lots of other games out there. Take a break come back when new content is added :)

That's no excuse for no content delivery.

There is one thing that makes or breaks MMORPGs in the last years and that's the amount of endgame content. SW:TOR failed because of that (with other reasons, but no content was the main reason), WoW is losing subs because of that, Lotro is struggling because of that and ESO failed because of that, too.

A steady content development is crucial and ESO hasn't got content for over 6 months and even Craglorn was less than what other games get.

To take a break is no solution. Maybe it is now due to the B2P model but to give players literally no content within the first year of a game while wanting them to pay a monthly fee is just hideous.
