EU client download too slow / limited?

Hi,
can anyone here confirm that the download of the EU game client is indeed limited to roughly 2 megabit / second server sided? Or was anyone able to download faster? In over 2 hours i havent downloaded more than 15% of the installation package.
Thats incredibly slow and if that limitation is correct, we need alternative download sources and / or a torrent download. Just speed tested my internet connection, its about 20 megabits / second downloading. I run the installer as admin, and the installer is set as a trustworthy application in both firewalls and antivirus (commodo internet security). Still, i get 1/10th of the possible download rate out of this meaning i will loose more than 2 days of game time only for downloading the client and the patches.
Seriously, will there be a refund for the game time lost? Are there any proven ways to speed up downloading? And no its not my router or firewall or whatnot, i even tried to download in that special windows mode, that only loads basic drivers and network stuff (Win7).
Any help / pointers / reply by support highly appreciated. Thx!

DieterleSoul ShrivenCould it be that the %-numbers shown as well as the graphical indication of the download process are severly wrong / bugged? My installer started downloading about 22 GB iirc, and is now showing 1.4 GB left to be downloaded, while the % number shows only an advance of 23%? Should rather be 90% if this refers to the download?0

DieterleSoul ShrivenYup i checked that right in the beginning when i saw download was slow, it doesnt change my download speed if i set that 5, 10, or unlimited, it only slows it even more if i limit it to 1 Mbit / sec, that works...0

It isn't just you. I have 5 gigs to download (I updated at the beginning of the month I guess) and now it's going at the most snail of snails pace.0 -
Lycanthrope✭✭As when the game launched, it seems that downloads are capped at a fixed 10MB/s... How is that even reasonable these days? If your distribution network can't handle more than that then enable P2P for those who want it... For goodness sakes.
I'm sitting on a 600Mbps connection and downloading a 30-odd GB client at barely 80Mbps...

Sorry but you sound like a first world problem meme, most people have to sacrifice goats to Molag Bal to get it up to 1Mbps.

Or alternatively they could simply offer a realistic solution that doesn't involve third party media to distract from their shortcomings.0
