Im considering running the radiant morph (which also does a little dmg) but get stronger pr hit, but still seems kinda *** as melee defense. ½ wrecking blow / shard will clear it

You get the 15% nerf, but you also get a health boost in Cyrodiil as well. That said, the other morphs big thing really is it is cheaper. It doesn't get enough more in strength to be very noticeable.

I had the cyro buff before as well, nothing new. Im talking about the way health pools are smaller and dmg bigger = not a good system for blazing

I've used to play a magicka 'melee' temp, s&s + resto/destro. I still love melee templar, but since I have no stamina related passive / physical passive, I just dont want to 'just' be a healer or range dps 'sunmage' type. I want to go in the thick of things, but I cannot except as pure tank, and even then - as tank - the shield is also problematic. You want you armour to do mitgation along with block - with a shield up you get zero mitigation and block has no effect other than countering CC. So there's a lot of stuff that makes blazing less viable.
But please do update with new insights, ideas or concerns about templar shields.
