You can stay subbed to rack up crowns and then use said crowns to purchase the DLC.. so if you ever can't (or don't want to) pay a sub for a month or two.. you will still have the same game.
Secondly, staying subbed increases $$ for ZOS in the way we want it to. They are a business, and therefore their efforts will go towards what makes them the most money. Want more crown store items? Don't sub and spend every penny you can in the crown store. Want more game content? Sub.

At what point, though, are we just being foolish for investing in a product that hasn't delivered? It's not a good enough justification to say "support ZOS with a sub to create new content so you can then pay for that new content with ZOS bucks!" I've done the "pay so the game can get better and we can get awesome stuff" for the past year. Now ZOS has changed their revenue model to one that has players paying for content when it's released, which is a more traditional development model.
Why should I extend more loyalty when my past loyalty has been met with delayed releases, rewards that can be bought by those who pay (senche mount and slaughter mask), and a loyalty 100 Crown thank you for each month subscribed?
I would have been better off if I WASN'T loyal and jumped on the bandwagon TODAY (March 16th) bought five 60 day time cards and applied them all today. Those that DIDN'T support ZOS are potentially being 'rewarded' more than those that have. At what point does a reasonable person say "enough is enough"?
I haven't decided if I'm going to subscribe to ESO:TU. I don't know if the reason "to donate money to ZOS" is enough reason for me to subscribe. At SOME point ZOS needs to step up to the plate and deliver on the promise of ESO and justify our monetary support.
If not now, when?

I suspect the response to some of this would be just like the one argued endlessly in another thread by someone we both know... namely, that our sub fee "only paid for access and nothing more" so none of the above even matters. I totally disagreed with that then and still do now, but I have to say if ZoS is looking at it like that as well? then there is truly no reason whatsoever that I can see to continue subbing other than feeling "philanthropic" for lack of a better term.... I can think of other things more worthwhile for which to donate money on a monthly basis. That being said, my sub runs into May so I will likely wait until then to decide, but I kind of doubt I will.
There was an article in one of the money magazines about ESO going B2P and all the corporate brew haha the magazine article thought was used in the decisions. They also suggested that ZOS had this transition planned most likely before the game was even released despite the company's rhetoric that the game would never be F2P, B2P.
Most discussed technical reasons for the delay, yet several discussed negotiations with Sony and Microsoft over the monthly console fees (I still have links to some that were not pulled down). There is no way whatsoever that they did not know this fee would be an issue from the beginning, including Microsoft supposedly wanting a percentage of the game fees if they allowed it, which I think is where this whole thing blew up in ZoS' face. Big daddy of the market, Microsoft, is so huge it will either get its way or stand in yours --- they will win. ZoS should have played it differently but they did not. The time, money, and effort it cost them is nothing compared to the price that gamble resulted on the community's support, let alone their reputation.

The exp boost means nothing to me. I am v14 and have maxed every skill and morph in the game. Currently (even with the nerf to the cp grinds) I can get my 1 CP enlightenment out of the way in 25 minutes. (Only have enlightenment for 1 CP a day so meh I only save 2 minutes or so)
I have 2 million gold so dont care about the 10% increase.
Nothing in the store is something I want. When it first comes out and I get the cp for being a member since day one and all that I will get literally 100% of the crown items that I want.
SO what is left? DLCs? I can just get them when they release them once every 10 million years? In all honesty though with jokes aside it will be cheaper to just buy them, then to sub and none of the other things help me?
AM I MISSING SOMETHING?!!?!?!?! HELP!!!! I love tes but....

See thats why I am scared and a "dooms day sayer"... They cant make money on this model until they make something in the store that people want to buy...
and what do people want to buy.....?
p2w items which they need to stay top tier...
I dont want to waste a heap of time on a game that just goes p2w

Your mind is telling you no, but your body, your body is telling you yes.
OTHER subscription optional games offer subscribers so much more than ZOS is offering us
I'm sorry but the pathetic +10% xp for subbing is a complete joke. You took away mob xp and all this does is barely put it back. +15-20% would be more agreeable. And of course an option for the whiners to turn it off if they wanted to.

Hate to bring up WoW but yea, WoW is so worth $15 you don't even have to question that.
