Convince me

Can someone convince me to stay subbed?...

The exp boost means nothing to me. I am v14 and have maxed every skill and morph in the game. Currently (even with the nerf to the cp grinds) I can get my 1 CP enlightenment out of the way in 25 minutes. (Only have enlightenment for 1 CP a day so meh I only save 2 minutes or so)

I have 2 million gold so dont care about the 10% increase.

Nothing in the store is something I want. When it first comes out and I get the cp for being a member since day one and all that I will get literally 100% of the crown items that I want.

SO what is left? DLCs? I can just get them when they release them once every 10 million years? In all honesty though with jokes aside it will be cheaper to just buy them, then to sub and none of the other things help me?

AM I MISSING SOMETHING?!!?!?!?! HELP!!!! I love tes but....

Make an alt, start from scratch. Use your v14 to give money and stuff to you newbie. Other than that I've got nothin.

I just dont want to do that though. I get why some people would though and hat off to the people who can do alts without the grinds that crag had.

The real problem with that is I played this game to be a completionist (or as close as I can be). I have nearly 15,000 achievement points and I cant do that all over haha.

Dont get me wrong I am fine having one character but it leaves little reason to have membership.

Well first we must see what ZOS will add in crown store today, they are clever enough to put things there which will worth to stay subbed (especially in time), but overally its everyones personal decision stay subbed or no, I dont think someone will be able to convince you if u dont want to do that.

Yea but most people I know including me will only stay subbed if there are p2w items we need to stay top tier, so to keep people I think it is inevitable to need to put p2w items in the crown store...

Cosmetics only go so far and everyone in this game has endless gold so little things like potions and gems wont change anything...

What are you trying to say that means?
Are you trying to imply that anyone who does not want to stay member when it changes model is poor or cheap?

That makes more sense since everyone on this forum is already spending the discussed amount.

It's not possible to make a valid argument for staying subbed. Cancel. Let them release stuff and then BUY the DLC - now you own it. If you sub you only lease it. And also ZoS need to feel player rage, so I encourage to cancel your sub - actually. Maybe they'll think "hmm, we dont have a lot of subbers now, maybe we should release some pvp content and a few new dungeons (or what the pve community crave)" - they basically would have to create content (im not talking pickpocketing, that doesnt count as 'content' in my world), but real new stuff to do in order to get paid.

Don't pay a sub unless a DLC comes out. Sub advantages are tiny and the crown story has nothing interesting to offer yet. Can't convince you to stay subbed, sorry.

I'd say no if you have to ask. The question is how often they'll release new content.

I only have 100k gold. I don't understand how anyone can farm 1 mil gold.

I'm staying subbed because I'm an altoholic. I never reached max level because I cant stand Craglorn. Perhaps with this 10% boost I can make a char that wont need Crag to max out.

I wont stop playing till I have at least 4 max. there is 4 classes so I must max all 4. :)

I understand why some people are losing steam on this. Maybe you are one of those that can actually beat an MMO. Sounds like you have done almost everything.

At least it helps you with alts :)

I just cant see a point for me yet...

I'm staying subbed because I have a feeling that the "dlc" is going to be like 40-50 bucks a pop and i'm too lazy to cancel my auto pay. I mean its .50 a day to save the war veterans [Arms of the angel in the background] and also to feed the poor.

For real though, if you have to be asked to be convinced to spend money on something, you really don't. Your mind is telling you no, but your body, your body is telling you yes.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Here's the way I see it. A 180-day sub is what, $75, or thereabouts? A Starbucks whatever-I-order is $5. So 180 days of subscription is 15 Starbucks coffees.

Has the game given me more enjoyment over 180 days than 15 Starbucks coffees would? Yes, yes it has - and that's coming from a person who *loves his coffee*. I can nurse a coffee for maybe 30 minutes if I stretch it out, so if I've played the game for more than 7.5 hours in 180 days, the game's earned its sub from me.

Will the devs implement enough stuff that I will get more than 7.5 hours' worth of enjoyment over the next 180 days? Yes, which is why I'm going to stay subbed.

Not to mention the fact that developing/overseeing a game takes a heck of a long time and a heck of a lot of resources, and the more people who continue to stay subbed, the more future content will continue to be funded.

I'm in the exact same boat you are. I really, honestly want to stay subbed but I can't, for the life of me, justify paying $15 a month when I don't have to. Especially when I can put that $15 toward another game, like EVE... always wanted to play that.

This problem is compounded by the fact that OTHER subscription optional games offer subscribers so much more than ZOS is offering us.

I have a thread here suggesting all sorts of stuff: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/150450/eso-subscription-benefits-suggestions/p1

Same as you. If there had been content released I might have subscribed.

Staying subscribed & giving more money to a company that doesn't care about it's PC player base to the point it refuses to release new content in favor of console players makes no sense at all.

Only thing that might make me reconsider is new content before console launch and they said it's not gonna happen so my sub will be dropped as of tomorrow.

Might resub when new content comes out or just pay the DLC, what ever is cheapest.

Yeah, I'm on the fence. The sub doesn't really become cost effective until there are multiple DLCs... and there will be 0 till June.

So maybe August + before there are 2.

ESO doesn't actually have the content to support their model ATM. The real value is in the long-term rental of multiple (and the more the better the value) DLCs.

I am debating the same thing...Don't get me wrong, if the status quo had not changed I would still be happy paying for a sub, but now I'm not so sure. I guess it really depends on the rate of dlc, if they release stuff regularly then I'm fine staying subbed. However, if I am paying 15$ a month for 10% additional exp...I'd rather save my money.

I want to want to stay subbed, But, I need to see the value in it, and right now, I just don't. I have 15 bucks to save, and from where I'm setting, very little to lose by dropping my sub.

You can stay subbed to rack up crowns and then use said crowns to purchase the DLC.. so if you ever can't (or don't want to) pay a sub for a month or two.. you will still have the same game.

Secondly, staying subbed increases $$ for ZOS in the way we want it to. They are a business, and therefore their efforts will go towards what makes them the most money. Want more crown store items? Don't sub and spend every penny you can in the crown store. Want more game content? Sub.
