Ehhh, idk about that last part, kinda depends on what you're doing. Just about every class uses mostly non class skills for their most effective builds.Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!0 -

✭Lol, that used to be called a sorcerer, any sorcerer. Now they actually use some class skills but, though better, are still pretty lackluster.
I could say we now call this a stamina build and everybody runs it but the truth is a few class skills make the bar they just aren't really that big a contribution generally.I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.0 -
Zsymon✭✭✭✭Magicka builds use mostly class skills, stamina builds use mostly weapon skills, always been that way.
I never seen a single magicka build that didn't use class skills, so I really don't think saying class skills don't contribute is very fair, considering how powerful class skills are. It's normal that stamina builds use mostly non class skills, since very few class skills scale with stamina.
Personally I use Biting Jabs, Radiant Aura and Empowering Sweep as class skills, along with two sword and shield weapon skills and the medium armor skill for better tanking and for avoiding roots and snares in pvp. Agreed, my best and most successfull stamina builds in pvp had only 2 Templar skills, Blazing shield and Purge.
Even if that way i use almost no passives... tells alot about Templar class.
There could be many powerfull skills to use but it lacks of little things like jabs now offer cc immunity to the enemy in trade for a 0.5 seconds stunn or aura offering very lowe regeneration for short duration....
I have a free slot on the bar and i dont use it for any class ability because they are not thought out well.Edited by Mumyo on March 16, 2015 10:28AM0 -
Stannum✭✭✭✭You can make 2H/ bow build without using class skills and it will be good DPS build
Really 2H is the most all-sufficient line
rally - buff/heal
brawler - good AoE and shield
critical rush - charge skill
executioner - finisher
wreaking blow - cool one-target damage skill and CC
then you can set guild or world ulti and you really need no class skills.
