is the reason some abilities have to be on both bars due to a UI limitation? thats a EASY fix.

ok, we all want it so Toggled abilitys dont turn off it they are not on both bars and we switch between them..

same with stuff like evil hunters new "while slotted" passive... it has to be on the current bar..

some classes even have passives that boost stuff for each class ability slotted...

here is a way to actually implement this.

i considered the reason they might not have done it yet... the other weapon slot is not visable... "they might get confused on what is toggled on that slot."

nonsense but here is a fix.

Clever amature MSpaint job is my doing.

this solves the UI issue... balance wise there is not any real problem to having slotted passives or toggled ability from one bar be active on another. the current system just serves to waste space and limit potential builds.

when you change weapons, the bar on top and the one behind just trade places... this way you can see if you have a toggled active on the off bar. but only toggle or use abilitys on the active bar.

first off, we have 2x5 slot hot bars with a ult slot in each... these effective are entirely seperate, and nothing in one carries over into the other unless its in both..

I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

Actually, allowing toggles on the inactive bar to remain active is hugely OP considering some classes/builds have many and others have few or even none; made more OP when one looks at just what Sorcs' toggles mostly do!

Those with many will be actively using 6,7, 8 or more skills at a time whereas those which don't have any toggles will still only be using 5 at a time without the need to weapon swap.

every class has toggles or "while slotted" passives.

not just toggles....... but slotted bonuses... and every class has these in some forum...

    you missed the point..

a Sorc has 3 toggles... but a NB has a passive that increases Max magicka by 4% for every slotted Siphoning ability.

even Templar and DK have stuff like this in their class sets.

It's not a UI limitation as summons persisted when you changed bars back in beta. To date the balance issues seem to be insurmountable. If a class ability is powerful enough to warrant double slotting, folks complain about it without really considering the opportunity cost of having a smaller available toolset. If it's not powerful enough for folks to be willing to sacrifice double slots (especially if it's encumbered by other negatives like lacking AI/UI or a significant cast time), then they just don't use it in competitive situations.

    This.

There's probably still some pet balancing to be done, but allowing buffs to be active as long as they were on one bar would be horrifically bad for balance.

you have 5 slots on each bar. That's it. If you swtich bars you lose the toggle and/or the passive. If you want the toggle and/or passive put it on both bars.

Fixed that for you, it was broken.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

So there's an add on so you don't have to slit inner light and summons on both bars?
