Patch 1.6.6 - Error 209 PatchManifestError_Version Fail

I was hoping the today's maintenance/patch would fix my endless loading screen problem (I can't play anymore since last week!), but all I get is error 209 and the launcher forces me to repair. So I did, then I restarted the launcher, and I get the same exact error again, it's repairing right now, again.
What exactly am I supposed to do now?

After the second try it worked.

Unfortunately, the loading screens still take half an hour, each, if the game doesn't crash during that time. The today's patch didn't change anything on my end.
The game works fine when I don't leave an area or enter/exit an interior, it's just the loading screens that keep me from continuing playing the game.

I checked the requirements once more, seems my system is even far closer to maximum than minimum (almost fulfills the recommended requirements). So where's the problem?

Instead of doing the repair, have you tried simply closing the launcher and re-opening it? most times the 209 error report is a false one and closing/re-opening the launcher fixes it. Alternatively, once you have patched the launcher you can run the game direct from the .exe file until such time as the next patch needs to be installed.

If these measures don't work, and you're still getting errors then a complete re-install is probably the answer. This assumes, of course, that your system specs meet the recommended requirements, that there are no hardware issues, and that the problem is solely related to the game software.
