I don't know about all of this, but to me the whole Enlightenment system is kind of weird. To me the system should be based on how long someone has been offline and not how much XP he gathered.

Lets say, someone doesn't play for a month then he should very well be Enlighten for the next month and if someone didn't play for 10 hours, then just for those.

It doesn't help Casuals at all if the Enlightenment system is based on 1 or 4 CP a day. The only people that benefit from it are the hardcore gamers, as they will play anyways and gain CPs, be it with or without the bonus.

But if someone now doesn't play for a month and comes back, then he still only has 1 CP worth of bonus and this doesn't seem to be fair at all.

ZO needs to make Enlightenment based on days offline and not XP gathered.

Word up, can we just get an official explanation of how the system is supposed to work please? please please please pretty please? I'll even put sugar on top, I promise!

There, sugar added to the top.

You can accumulate up to 3 days' worth of enlightenment. And of course, you can also get CP while you are not enlightened, it will just be slower. But if you are logging in to play the game, that shouldn't matter to an extent.

If you make enlightenment only accrue when you are not logged on, you are punishing players who log on to do things that don't earn XP, like crafting or gathering mats, RP and other activities (such as helping a lower level player through some content), so I'm ok with enlightenment accummulating over time regardless of what you are doing.

For most players, they are probably going to barely use up enlightenment during the week, and then play more on weekends and maybe use it up or not. It's a bit too early to tell. But I found that once I was on a vet level character doing stuff getting CP was not hard.

    it's a good idea.

i'm more for a system with no enlightment , you gain 1 cp per day when you log in and you can play the game and gain 1 other cp for 300k maybe .

Honestly I believe that Champion Points should be gained at the rate they currently are with enlightenment (which is about 1 per hour with legitimate gameplay), without being enlightened, and then they should be 2x (not 4x) faster than that with enlightenment which you only accumulate while off-line and only up to a certain xp amount. This is how "Rested XP" works in most other mmo's. I'm sure that someone will try to through the old "ESO is different" argument that's been around for ages...well that doesn't mean that ESO can't use systems from most other games and are pretty standard in the MMO world that work effectively and efficiently.

Also I'm sure someone will try to throw out the argument of "The Champion Point System is supposed to take a long time, you're not supposed to gain all the points quickly." First, no one said anything about obtaining all the points. Second, if you average 5 hours a day of legitimate gameplay (which means doing nothing but questing and grinding, and etc.) and received 1 CP per hour, it would still take over 2 years to obtain all the points. 1 point per hour should be the standard without enlightenment given the mere number of champion points there are in total...

CP needs to be dropped to 1800 total, raise all the increments so it actually feels like we're getting something from it. There won't be enough people playing this game in the ten years to reach max. Honestly. I don't think it'll even make it to 3 years.

Not gonna lie this blows like harlot with snaggle teeth 1 cp a day inst worth the time it takes to log in honestly 3-4 cp a day worth would be nice give players a reason to log in. At the moment this doesn't even justify me playing til it stacks for several days which sucks. The steady cp i was gaining about 3-5 a day kept vet leveling interesting and fun now i just don't care anymore ... not that i don't love the game but every single good thing that's given to us is a monkey's paw there's always a nerf or a catch or something to ruin it the day or so after its released... i understand there was an exploit but 1 a day is just too little...

i almost thought i had reason to play through the vet zones now as the steady champion points felt like tiny level ups every 100-200k exp on that annoying grind wagon it honestly made the vet content bearable but noooo that had to be killed off. i dont have the time in my life to waste doing 30 mins of quest a day before it turns into a boring grind fest because of the pitiful enlightenment running out.

Here's an even better idea drop champs to 200k, scrap the enlightenment and let players play how they want and stop trying to control every thing we do with a limiting time frame. i feel like im playing one of those tick based cellphone games next thing we'll see is 100 crowns refill enlightenment pop up when it runs out... most players hate vet grinding so why make it into that again. basically after enlighten runs out its like 2 & 1/4 champion points per vet level because the dull grind is so addicting without steady rewards... i dont mean to rant but im so tired of this grind fest that never seems to be done right...

Pretty much. Champion system is way worse than straight VR levels.

Side note I logged out last night with ~388k enlightenment, I logged in today and only have ~280k. So not only do I not have a full days worth, but they short changed me about a fourth of what I did have.

This feels like one of those long term planning and self improvement courses.

Attendee: "Well I was hoping I would be close to reaching the Champion Point Cap on Elder Scrolls Online..."
