There was also the Champion System, which during the implementation, granted those with fully leveled VR14s (or combinations of lower veteran characters that equaled a fully leveled VR14) 70 champion points, as a way to start us off toward the big goal of 3600 total champion points. I think the thing I like about the Champion System the most is that it's so flexible that players can customize it however they want on their way to maxing it, and so long-term it can take years to max. And some of the passives that are activated on spending a certain amount of CP in each tree are really nice. It feels like getting a free ability, since you're spending points on something else and BAM! you get another ability too.

yea much nice things happend in 1.6
but the champion point system is boring and linear if you realize how it works
there is no char individualization everyone gets the same things it only cost time
after a few month new players and casuals will be far behind
every activity in game which doesnt grants high xp per hour now is sensless and feels wasting of time
i dont see the fun there just click points in stars and get passives

From my original post: If, on the other hand, all you have are negative comments about these features or changes, I think there are plenty of other threads where you can use to vent your disappointment.
You've missed the entire point of my post. The answers to your bullets, should you choose to seek them, are found in other threads. Thank you for playing.

You are not "supposed to" grind champion points, but you can, and are rewarded for doing so.AhPook_Is_Here wrote: »

I think the thing with the champion system is you aren't supposed to be out there grinding it, it is just something like an affinity reward that happens over the months you play gradually. I get the incentive to grind out 90 fast for some of that great low hanging fruit. I will likely finish that up myself then just take is as it comes from there.

Problem is, that it is clearly built around gaining xp, which pretty much means grind if you're at v14.
Not running dungeons, not doing pvp, definitely not crafting, no, just, xp.
I play, lot, hours each day since 1.6 launched, and now i sit at champion rank of 74.
And i hear of people who are at 250.
Difference being, i played the game like it was "intended", doing crafting, doing dungeons, doing cyrodiil, doing quests.
They, ran around aoe farming mobs.
I think I need someone to explain what I am missing regarding the Champion Points...
I got 70 on each of my V14's (which can only be used by those characters), and 70 "bonus" CP that were account-wide (which I used on my level 45 toon)...
So I don't understand when people talk about having 250+/800+ CP...are they talking about a total amount between several characters? Or is their some special grinding technique that gets 1 character a crazy amount of CP?

Anyways. Thanks for this thread! I read over it last night but didn't have a chance to post. Had to dig pretty good to find it again.
I really enjoy 1.6. I'm still trying to get used to the staff animations, but I'm sure I'll be used to them in no time and come to like them.
