Dear Zos,
First of all, i want to thank you for giving us a game to play for years. Thank you so much that you made it a very awesome game, and you are trying all your best to make it even better. My support is on you and to this game that i have played since its launch, i proudly say, I LOVE THIS GAME!
Are you even serious?
* B2P within the first year due to poor player and critical reception (no, not because of the console version)
* Very awesome game with the worst UI and some of the most ancient gameplay mechanics in the business
* Trying all your best to make it even better when in fact everything gets worse with every update because they're all deployed without Q&A
Yeah, you got some valid points there, don't you?
If Zenimax would listen to the playerbase, they wouldn't have created the mess called ESO 1.0 (VR leveling) and at least not the CS or other things in 1.6. But they didn't listen.
Way are you even here...
This! The main problem I see here is that most of the complainers are PvPer, and they are way more vocal than the PvEers.

ZOS does not listen to their playerbase so I don't understand the topic here. They ignored every voice that said:
<snip|>
You know who listens to their community? CCP (EvE Online), they have even built a monument dedicated to their players outside their HQ and what they have got in return? Steady, dedicated and mature, playerbase for over 11 years.

Just because they don't do what YOU want doesn't mean what you claim it means.
Also, comparing a run-of-the-mill theme-park MMO (ESO) to the largest sandbox in the world is kind of .. pointless, isn't it?
CCP have NOTHING to do as far as what their players ask for, CCP are entirely hands-off. Yes, EVE has a hugely loyal and enthusiastic community, and probably have a great relationship with CCP (that can't be said for ESO/ZOS) but please, don't use CCP as a way of pointing out ZOS' short-comings, as you see them.
ZOS does not listen to their playerbase so I don't understand the topic here. They ignored every voice that said:
- We don't want B2P
- We tested CP on PTS and found it broken unfit for going live.
- 100 crowns/month is an insult
- UI needs fixing
- Many many many many unresolved bugs since launch
- Cyrodill needs fixing in tons of ways
- Crown store should never have P2W items like XP boost potions
- And many others.
Instead they focus on issues like:
- Putting a netch on their heads
- Roleplay events
- Fan Art
- Deltia
- Nerfing XP grind
You know who listens to their community? CCP (EvE Online), they have even built a monument dedicated to their players outside their HQ and what they have got in return? Steady, dedicated and mature, playerbase for over 11 years.
UI needs fixing? You do realise that A LOT who actually spends their time playing the game instead of visiting these forums LOVE the minimalistic UI which ESO has? We can look at the beautiful scenery and at our enemies, plan out a position and strike with effencity without having thirteen numbers appearing constantly on the screen. In fact, I personally adore it for what it is, a very immersive experience in comparison to the cluttered standard WOWesque MMO UI where you're more busy looking at your numbers than the actual fight.
Sure, you're not the only one who doesn't like those things, but at the very same time there is a *** of others who loves them and likes them. If you have a problem with the UI, download or make your own addon, simple fix. B2P is super great as it brings many new and old players to the game. Plus ESOs B2P model is the best one out there I know of. SW:TOR did a *** job by preventing free-players access to nothing but the quests and storylines. THEY CAN'T EVEN USE SOME OF THE CHAT FUNCTIONS!
ESO is a great game, and ever evolving. It has its flaws like all other games, but those will get fixed in time. (Besides Shadow Cloak and its morphs of course)
Also.. I marked something in your text with big fat letters and an underscore. I don't think you even realise the sheer size of the roleplaying community on both megaservers (Espeically NA which is insanely giant). Roleplayers are the core players who will stay because they can make their own fun in the world they roleplay in. Unlike the PvP'ers and PvE'ers who goes to the forums and whines because of the lack of content they find interest in, evne though they themselves mostly just rush through it all due to the players constant need for a race to endgame. The only exception here is really PvP'ers, they have not had a single new content appearing for them ever since the launch. We even have a whole 4 more PvE zones announced, and only 1 PvP (Imperial City).
If you don't enjoy the game then leave. Don't waste your time in a game you don't enjoy and hold no faith in. Zenimax has shown they listen A LOT of times. Frankly they're much more active with the community than any other MMO out there I've played. That includes WoW, DCUO, SWTOR, COH/COV and Wildstar.

It doesn't matter if some love the UI, it's a fact that ESOs UI is horrible. I am fine with those guys saying they want to enjoy the scenery, but not giving us options is just lame. Turn it off if you don't like it, that's it.
But the current UI is an utter mess and awful. You don't even see debuffs or buffs, you don't even see all possible stats in your character window, you don't see the Justice interface, you don't see nothing. There is absolutely no room for discussion about the UI. It MUST BE improved.
GW2 B2P model > ESO B2P model - you know why? GW2 delivers content for free and has no optional sub.
ESOs flaws will get fixed in time? Seriously? They couldn't fix most of them within 11 months, when do you think will they finally fix them? "In time"?
Roleplayers aren't the core players. If they would be the core players, why did Zenimax nearly nothing to cater to their loyal roleplayers?
Those 5 zones were announced 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 months ago. Did we see ANYTHING out of those zones except scenery? No. Yeah, they announced them and didn't deliver anything.

Going to be really interesting to see how long it lasts on console if they even get a fraction of the lag we are getting in Cyrodiil.
Dear Zos,

For someone like me who love this game, i would do what i could do to help this game from any harmful thing, which these days, i refer to "Players who want changes for themselves". For almost a year now, the game has been very awesome at serving its main purpose, to entertain. And it keeps on getting better because of the efforts of ZOS. Everything about the game have been properly thought of, we can see that every aspect was studied very much. Of course there will be bugs along the way, there will always be a balancing issues, but ZOS you are the best people who know it and can solve it, we are players only, and take note that players tend to think of any advantages in any game for themselves.
At first, listening to players is very good. But as time went on, players saw this oppurtunity to gain advantage over other players who arent very vocal or arent visiting the forum at all. They made use of complain threads, they are in groups, or even a guild wanting to change something in the game for their very own agenda. And it seems that ZOS is listening too much. Anything "too much" is very harmful. Please be informed ZOS, these people who are very active in this forum dont even make a good percentage of your total players in game. Most of them dont have time to visit this forum, because there are just too much fun to have playing the game.
I paid for this game, i play it a lot, and i want this game to run by noone but ZOS. I dont want to play other players' game. Actually it is not just me, more players are like me, but thyre not here in forum, maybe a few of them. ZOS please stop listening too much, it is destroying the game. You cant satisfy all these players. If you try to satisfy group A, group B will complain. If you try to change a bit for group B, group A complains. How about group C, D, and many more? It is a never-ending process to try. Let them just play your game, you have a brilliant group of people that have made this game awesome, and it will continue to get better. Just dont listen too much to outside noise.
This forum has turned into a PVP, dont be blinded by what appears to be a majority of players, theres no such thing as majority in this forum as your total players werent here. Most players here just complain, in their quest to change the game in their way, you cant silence them, but put up your shield and stand up, dont give up. You know better than any player, you are a company! Now if you listened to them, please listen to me too, and start to stop listening too much.
Thank you, and keep up the good work.
It was always a job well done from you guys!
Unfortunately the damage to the PVE game that is caused by PVP is already likely to be fatal, though the death will be slow and painful.GrimGryphon wrote: »

I think Zenimax needs to start separating PvP and PvE, Guild Wars did this. In Guild Wars if there was a skill that was balanced in PvE but unbalanced in PvP, they wouldn't just nerf it because it was unbalanced in PvP, they would make a PvP version of that skill. So when you logged into PvP that skill would covert to it's PvP version until you went back to PvE.

Man you guys are bitter. Someday you may get as you wish and it will impact your favorite part of the game in ways you never could imagine.
