Can't get to the character selection screen.

After downloading update 6 with no issues I typed in my account name and password and got stuck on an infinite loading screen. I've tried many times, restarted my computer several times with the same result. Is there a way to bypass this? Thank You.
EDIT: Just let it go... at almost exactly 10min of loading, the character screen poped up and i was asked which country i live in. Possibly the reason for the long load time?

Have you tried adding ESO and the launcher in the list of exceptions for your antivirus and firewall, or even running the game/Launcher ad an administrator?
This could speed up the characters screen to appear.0 -
PaldrikSoul ShrivenYes i have. The issue I was having seems to have fixed itself, happened for about 2 days after update 6 was released. I expect these kinds of issues for large updates as they happen for almost every large update for every MMO I've played. Don't know if it was you guys that fixed it but if it was i thank you for the speedy fix.

Kragorn✭✭✭✭✭The first login after applying the patch took ages on all my characters, I presume it was something to do with the Champion Points and other things, though it never took 10 minutes I have to say.0 -

Yah, i noticed it took awhile for my characters after i was able to get to them, but it was all expected to some extent.0
