If you're going for a Min/Max approach to your character then yes small details like race and weapon choice will matter.

Personally I wanted to play an Imperial Tank from the get go, because that's what I've played in other ES games, at first I was sad they didn't have it, but when they added the Imperial Edition I had to get it. Just so happens DK happened to be probably the best Tank Class, and the Imperial the top Tank Race. So I lucked out in that regard.

I will say this though, do what you want to do. I do have a friend that play's a DK Nord 2h DPS and it works quite well for him, when it gets to a better time and not 4 in the morning almost I'll ask him about his build and get back to you.

It seems to me that there is nothing to fall into the paranoia of this. Passive skills known to give something, but I think so does not significantly affect the gameplay. I just have only lvl 10 DK: P also be able to do without much of a problem to change, but do you really is the point? Maybe someday encouraged me to play tanks; P

Redguard is a very good tank/dps character. Nord is also very good, Imperial or Dunmer are probably the best for the class though, but really play whatever race you want to, unless you're going to Min/Max everything, race isn't really that much of a big deal as you can make any race work with any class in some way shape or form.

As Rosveen said go with what you want.

My suggestion would be 2H Weapon for DPS with Attributes put into Stamina and Health, if you want to go that route, then you can make your armor to help with your weakness in Magicka. Along with Set Pieces that help with tanking/dps.

Also couldn't get a hold of my friend that plays a Nord DK DPS will keep trying, but seeing as he's in the Military he doesn't have that much free time.

It's up to you. I value aesthetics higher than min-maxing, but that's just me with my lowly Bosmer DK.

I was thinking a Bosmer DK using 2hand would be the best choice for DPS. 20% stamina regen as a base is nuts. Do you think that for a Stamina DPS Imperial/Reguard/Dumner would still be better choices?

Regen isn't as great as it used to be, it's still good, but not awesome, Bosmer would be a good choice, but I'd roll Khajiit for the extra weapon crit, and get your stamina from gear.

By the way, I think Dunmer's (Dark Elves) make the best DK's because of their affinity to fire and a lot of DK skills are fire based.

Thanks guys for your help. I decided that I do Dunmer for Stamina DK / or may in the future tank (do not know, we'll see). And as Stamina Nightblade Khajiit (bow and dual wield). But just I must little play these characters, and I'll see to be my main character, because I still can not decide ;p.

I'd say Dragonknight, just because Unstable Flame and Burning Breath got a Stamina morph, making two of the most powerful DK abilities accessible to both Magicka and Stamina users.
