Class and race, DK

Hello, I have a question about race and class. Is it really the choice of the class associated with the selection of race altogether? Is the DK Nord, who wanted to be in melee DPS makes sense? Is is he just being tanks? Because I started to slowly play Dragon Knight Nord, which in the future I want to do as a DPS of 2h / dual wield, and I wonder if it makes sense, because that is the Dark Elf type of passive skill increasing % damage from the fire, which I would have doing injury be sure. What do you think? Are these passive class skills they give a significant advantage?

If you're going for a Min/Max approach to your character then yes small details like race and weapon choice will matter.

Personally I wanted to play an Imperial Tank from the get go, because that's what I've played in other ES games, at first I was sad they didn't have it, but when they added the Imperial Edition I had to get it. Just so happens DK happened to be probably the best Tank Class, and the Imperial the top Tank Race. So I lucked out in that regard.

I will say this though, do what you want to do. I do have a friend that play's a DK Nord 2h DPS and it works quite well for him, when it gets to a better time and not 4 in the morning almost I'll ask him about his build and get back to you.

Racials give you an advantage, but not a game-breaking one. You can be successful with any combination. Plenty of Nord DKs in the game.

It seems to me that there is nothing to fall into the paranoia of this. Passive skills known to give something, but I think so does not significantly affect the gameplay. I just have only lvl 10 DK: P also be able to do without much of a problem to change, but do you really is the point? Maybe someday encouraged me to play tanks; P
Likewise, yet still wonder if it is better DK Melee or mybe Melee sorc based storm ;p But still I chose Dk mybe XD

After reviewing the passive skills, Redguard seems well balanced as dps and tank. His passive suitable for these two roles, contrary to the Nord who has only passive tank. Well I think? 'P

Could someone help me? I really do not know what to choose, to the end of the game to be satisfied.

Nords are okay tanks, but Redguards are far superior stamina DPS. If you think of combining these two roles with a focus on DPSing, then yes, a Redguard would be better. An Imperial would be excellent too. And obviously Dunmer are a great all-around DK race.

It's up to you. I value aesthetics higher than min-maxing, but that's just me with my lowly Bosmer DK.

Redguard is a very good tank/dps character. Nord is also very good, Imperial or Dunmer are probably the best for the class though, but really play whatever race you want to, unless you're going to Min/Max everything, race isn't really that much of a big deal as you can make any race work with any class in some way shape or form.

As Rosveen said go with what you want.

My suggestion would be 2H Weapon for DPS with Attributes put into Stamina and Health, if you want to go that route, then you can make your armor to help with your weakness in Magicka. Along with Set Pieces that help with tanking/dps.

Also couldn't get a hold of my friend that plays a Nord DK DPS will keep trying, but seeing as he's in the Military he doesn't have that much free time.

I was thinking a Bosmer DK using 2hand would be the best choice for DPS. 20% stamina regen as a base is nuts. Do you think that for a Stamina DPS Imperial/Reguard/Dumner would still be better choices?

Regen isn't as great as it used to be, it's still good, but not awesome, Bosmer would be a good choice, but I'd roll Khajiit for the extra weapon crit, and get your stamina from gear.

As someone who has a character who is V14 DK Nord, I personally would not have chosen this race if I had done some research. I think other races have better racial passives. I'm not a very good player so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

By the way, I think Dunmer's (Dark Elves) make the best DK's because of their affinity to fire and a lot of DK skills are fire based.

@xMovingTarget Altmer Master Race, Khajiit in second.

Dunmer for DK, Altmer for Sorc, Breton/Altmer for Templar, Nightblade depends on your spec, Stamina, Bosmer, Magicka, Altmer or Breton.

That's if you're min/maxing for PvE, for PvP, Imperial or gtfo. 12% max health OP!

Thanks guys for your help. I decided that I do Dunmer for Stamina DK / or may in the future tank (do not know, we'll see). And as Stamina Nightblade Khajiit (bow and dual wield). But just I must little play these characters, and I'll see to be my main character, because I still can not decide ;p.

I'd say Dragonknight, just because Unstable Flame and Burning Breath got a Stamina morph, making two of the most powerful DK abilities accessible to both Magicka and Stamina users.
