mega server region choice on console?

I and all of my friends are going to be buying eso on xbox1, problem is I have moved from EU to NA permanently but still continue to play with all my friends on xbox, and it would ruin the game for us all if we couldn't ALL be able to play together.

Is a server selection choice, like I had on pc, possible on xbox1? Or will I have to go deeper?

An official response from someone would be appreciated, as I didn't get one last time I asked here, but not sure where else to ask tbh.

I originally thought there was just going to be only 1 server for each console.

I'm pretty sure it's separate. No other games allow players to play cross-region, that I'm aware of anyway.

Yeah, I know FFXIV gives you the option of what region, even on the console.

But I also know dcuo had mega servers, and there was no way of NA and EU playing together on console, without having to do something with you're account and console.

Would be utter BS if my friends and I couldn't play together in IMO the best online game that will ever come to consoles in a very long time.

I got my question about this asked on ESO live, @ZOS_GinaBruno basically said "we don't know yet". Where as the ESO twitter account has said yes you can chose which mega server, but an faq on this very site says that you can't. So even ZOS doen't know.
