Learn guard patrol routes, passes, roads and paths and the locations of the hideouts. When a guard spots you it isn't the end of the world. Invisibility potions are also a magical thing.WhiskeyJac wrote: »The Justice is nice, but my greed always gets see I pickpocket and steal many valuables and my bag is almost full then I think just one more and bham you have a guard there :'(

I made a Nightblade a long while ago wanting to play her as a thief, but as there was no real "stealing," I had to play her like an assassin(I know you can play Nightblades differently, but it's the next best thing to thief I could think of). This new system has added new life to my long shelfed character and I thank you guys for the hard work you put into it.

Grathwood elden root wayshrine.
got an ui error - wanted to look at it see if i have to turn off an addon.
next thing i know: a guard killed me.
game options prevent me from KILLING innocents and STEALING.
why did they kill me again????
otherwise i like the justice system - because stealing is a crime :>
I know every class can be a thief, but Nightblades just scream stealthy, pickpocketing stabby stabby, but then again I'm a roleplayer through and through. A Templar to me is a righteous Knight, a Dragon Knight a stalwart warrior, and a Sorcerer is always nose deep in books and magic spells. I know there are multitudes of ways to play, but that's just the way I see things.PlagueMonk wrote: »nick_faye_ESO wrote: »Just wanted to pop in on the forums to tell Zenimax that the justice system is all that and a bag of chips.

The unfortunate this is, you don't need to be a NB to steal, any class can. NBs don't even have a single advantage which seems a bit shortsighted imho.
In fact every class can perform BETTER than a NB just by drinking an invis. potion and going to town on those lockboxes (or any other stealable item). NBs have to use the same stupid potions because our ability breaks on steal....oh the stupidity.

Whether you are a roleplayer or not has no bearing on whether you feel a class should have a significant bearing on a character's role... All it means is that when you have decided what your character is like, you play your character in a way that matches up with that. Deciding that a particular class fits a particular role, and then playing your character, and making decisions based on that role is a good example of a roleplayer. It's not the only way to go about it by a long shot, but it is one of the ways.Edit: and... roleplayer... and you want to be pigeon holed into a role based on class... brilliant.

Game option only prevents you from attacking innocents. If you heal a criminal (intended or not) you will incur a bounty. Stealing is still possible no matter what. The "off" button is only to ensure you don't attack innocents.
