Enlightenment Buff Disappeared - Beware

So I am not sure what is going on here because ZOS has been very vague with the enlightenment roll out...

So I was leveling a toon that just hit vr1. A few minutes later the heavens tell me "You are Enlightened" and my CP bar flashes. This new vr1 toon is not geared so I log into my other one to grind a quick 100k for the CP. The second toon has no buff and the CP bar says 143k/400k. Weird? So I log back into my ungeared toon and his CP bar also now says 0k/400k and there is NO BUFF.

I'm sure what the issue is, but be careful relogging or switching toons until ZOS gives us more information on what the actual enlightenment process/buff entails.

Some people are saying that if you at anytime, play with non-VR char, your entire enlightment time resets and you have to wait 24 hours again. If this is correct, only way to gain enlightment is just to use your VR chars and never play chars that are not VR, or wait for a fix that will come weeks from now.

It is still too early to say for sure but we will see in couple of days if this is true.

I lost the buff on a V14 char just by zoning. Got no CP despite being over 210K/400K for the point. So yes, it is bugged and borked atm.

Yeah support this post. Never been enlighted more than 2mn since the beginning .I just earn 100k xp yersterday...and I log on low lvl alt.
So I ll try just logging my main....

I have to relog every time I get enlightened to get rid if it because when it runs out I lose all of the progress I made, whether or not I have gained a champion point or not

I have lost champion point rank already and havn't been able to progress past CP rank 71 because of this.

Heck I have never been enlightened and I have been playing since 1.6 roll out on Tuesday. Other than the 70 CP I got account wide for my V14 character I have not received anymore and I have been chalking up xp doing quests, dolmans, delves and World Boss locations. I even logged on with all my characters since I read that could cause an issue with the CP and nothing happened. Face it the Champion system which the game is now based on is bugged and not working. Priceless. Question is what is ZOS doing about it. This is not an issue they can ignore and just sit on it is game breaking. There is no sense playing if you are not going to receive CP.

The second you get "enlightened" doesn't mean you get a whole cp worth of it. Enlightenment builds over time. If you do something that nets you XP the second you accrue enlightenment, chances are you used it up immediately. Its also account wide not character specific. From what Gina told us, you dont gain any until 24 hours after you first log onto a vr character post 1.6. Shortly after logging into vr14 I got a prompt saying I was now enlightened that kept appearing randomly though I dont think I actually was. It seems that it might have just been a bug

You get 400k XP worth of enlightenment pool once every 24h. Some post claimed it happens at midnight, some say it's 24h after the last one, but neither seem to be true now. The 400k is credited in one go so there's no way someone can burn it in a minute or two. It is account wide which means you might use up most of it one another toon and leave little or nothing for the next character.

Relogging should not empty the pool, even if it envolves a non-veteran alt. However on PTS there is still a bug which resets the pool to zero if you log in with a toon for the first time evet since patch.

Zoning should not effect the pool either. However the game likes to spam the on-screen message about you're being enlightened after relog or zoning. This does not mean you got enlightenment multiple time, just indicates that you still have some points left in your pool.

It's still bugged. I was given 5 CP worth of enlightenment last night. But that was after 48 of waiting and sending in a ticket. I was just given another enlightenment phase just 5 minutes ago with it stating and showing the buff. The buff stayed active for the full five minutes with at least 1 full enlightened CP being awarded until I logged out and in with my grinding toon at which point the buff was gone.

The people that are trying to explain enlightenment and how it works aren't bugged. The accounts that are randomly getting and losing enlightenment while steadily playing without logging are. ZOS has admitted that they are looking into it.

Yes, an issue that was reported on the PTS, and also during the last ESO live show that nothing was done about it, so now ZoS has to fix it on the live servers.

What is happening to you is also happening to me. I was at 258,000/400,000. When I traveled from the Rift to Auridon to craft a piece of Ashen Grip I rolled back on Enlightenment XP (0/400,000). This has happened with all my VR Characters. We are getting ZOS'd. Not one CP gained whether it be on my lil ol' VR3 Finishing up Cadwell's silver quests. Quests such as Cradlecrush, Killing the worm cult boss in the rift, or simple diddly stuff such as crafting writs. Or my main doing undaunted stuff. I have decided to take both characters shoes away and park them in Rawl'ka and have them make sammiches and clothes. They are not good for anything else at this point.

So yes it is a bug. let us hope they fix it.

I am seeing weird issues with Enlightenment bonus being there one minute and gone the next, usually after switching characters and not gaining any xp at all in between when the enlightenment shows up and when it is gone.

It's bugged for me, but I'm able to grind out 3 CP or so with it, and it resets very frequently.

Right when I logged in 24hrs after 1.6 I got a message saying I had received Enlightenment, then I lost it when I zoned, it came back after staying in that zone but disappeared again after changing zones. Same thing happened 1 more time then I opened a /bug ticket, 10 minutes later it came on and I haven't lost it since.

5x today I've gained enlightenment to simply have it go away the second i port to an area where I can gain xp to get my CP. Unbelievably frustrating. I cannot get a champion point. It's to the point now I need to stay in the one zone and hope it happens, then run to a grind spot in order for me not to lose it. The second I port anywhere, I lose it 100%.

This game is such a joke.

Two days in a row now, get CP enlightenment - transport to zone with high density mobs. Boom! No more enlightenment straight after transport (fast travel).

I keep losing my Enlightenment buff. Hangs around for about an hour, then poofs. Only earned 1 CP since the Conversion. Awful.
