Awesome Info is outdated... What is a similar add on to replace it?

I have been using Awesome Info for a long time. I really like the features it has but it is now listed as Out of Date. Two Questions:
1. Does anyone know if they are going to update the addon?
2. What would be a close alternative to replace it.
I have briefly searched for a replacement but haven't seen anything that jumps out at me and says "Choose this one"
