Friends icon does not fade away when chat box fades

The "friends" online icon no longer fades away when the rest of the chatbox dialogue box fades; leaving the little friends icon floating out there on the left hand side of the screen at all times. Kind of annoying.

    I had this issue yesterday, but it seems to have resolved itself. I had two more add-ons to update this morning, so that may or may not be what fixed it for me.

    I don't like this change either, it's annoying and messes with immersion. They could have at least given the option to toggle it on or off like the helm option.

    Yeah, if If I had wanted that, I could have easily flicked a booger on that spot on the screen..
    Disabling the grass may improve performance.

    Yep, that annoying little icon just won't go away. The whole chat box fades, but the "friends" icon remains floating there like an orphaned artifact. It's distracting.

    Very annoying.

    It wouldn't be so bad if the chat window itself didn't fade, as then it would just be a part of that UI piece. But having the chat window fade, and the friends icon not fade, means you wind up with the friends icon hanging in the middle of your screen.

    Bugs the blazes out of me.

    I have been looking through the API to see if there is a way to make an addon which changes this new feature back to the 1.5 behavior or at least something less annoying. I have not found a way to do this yet.

    Yep......exactly what I had to do. My friends list was not exactly friends though........just a few people I met along the way. This is not a very good option if you have real friends.

    The latest update did not fix orphaned friends icon.

    To report the bug, type /bug into the chatbox during game play and follow the directions from there. You can even include a screenshot of the bug.

    This IS a bug, even if Zenimax seems to think it isn't. So you will have to let them know if you also think it's a bug.

    Add-ons can fix this. I believe "No, thank you" is one of them. I could be wrong. Embrace add-ons.

    They're not likely to fix it if an add-on already does. That's why the API is open and add-ons can exist.

    It's a bug WraithAzraiel. Zenemax needs to fix the bug, not a third party.
