Most of the pve has been balanced, but it's not perfect. Actually, sorcerers are useless in end game pve, and some sets (magicka NB, if I remember) are weak too.
But for the most part, it's a great work.

Magicka nb is still viable and really good actually. Ppl just dont want to chabge their playstyle and cry. And sorcerers have some op skills now.
If ppl spend time on their build as much as they do crying on forum ut would be alot better

Spoken like someone who did zero testing on the PTS and has absolutely no clue about game balance

So, 4-5 months of development to nerf to extinction one set of skills and replace them by another set.nerevarine1138 wrote: »ShadowDisciple wrote: »Most of the pve has been balanced, but it's not perfect. I think this is a lot of the problem. People keep talking about getting their builds back to "where they were" instead of actually altering their builds to take advantage of the new skills.

I spent a couple weeks on the PTS and totally agree with them. People spend too much time complaining and refusing to alter their previous builds and not enough time adapting to the new meta.

Not really. I've logged in like twice in the past two months. Now I just troll the forums for my entertainment, but the amusement that gives me is dwindling as well since a large percentage of players who actually knew what the hell they were talking about have moved on in search of greener pastures, leaving mostly a bunch of whiny casuals who wouldn't understand class balance if it jumped up and bit them in the ass.

If you are telling the truth and you have not even logged in to the game but twice in the past two months, you have no business slamming anyone in here for "zero testing on the PTS," let alone because they hold an opinion that differs from yours on the current state of PvE balancing in the game.

I dunno, when I read posts (not just on these forums) written by some of the arguably top players in the world and they are voicing serious concerns about the state of things on PTS, posting hard data and test results, and collectively brainstorming but coming up markedly short of the numbers that other classes are putting up, I don't agree with the sentiment. At all.

Seems a good way to use use scare resources.

It's simple really. People almost universally don't like change. I also see just as many if not more top players saying the Sorc is in a great spot. Some members of HODOR come to mind, along with members of a few other well known guilds.

No, people generally don't like change it when it makes them weaker or otherwise puts them at a disadvantage.
But in the end I took your advice: I ended up changing my play style to deal with 1.6. I rolled up a templar and shelved my sorcerer...problem solved.
The appeal of the Elder Scrolls Online that initially sold me to this game, was we was sold with the idea from the developers that we can play any way we want. wear what you want ...PLAY the way you want. Seriously....I will dig up the old post and other information that ESO stated this and I am sure everyone can too!
Now....lets look at now.
we HAVE TO WEAR leather or plate armor and less cloth to BE affective in the game. We have to use weapon damage to get your ultimate up.
This list can go on and on...so what happened to play the way you want? NOT this cookie cutting crap ESO is trying to shove down our throats and we have to play like everyone elses builds and NOT YOUR OWN!
