I just got the download finished. I logged on, went to my main toon, and started plugging in Champion Points. About two-thirds of the way through, BAM. IMPOSSIBLY LOUD AND PAINFUL STATIC. I yanked off my headphones and went to the audio control screen. I could tell that it was reducing by pulling down slides, but it appeared to be on all slides. Only by pulling all of them down, or the master volume, did the static go away.

I noticed that I was in Cyrodiil next to a transit shrine and getting hit by buff. I remember in particular the one where rocks fly around you. So I waited for them all to expire and tried again. No, that didn't fix it. So I submitted a bug report and logged off.

When I launched the game again, BAM. It was back and as loud as before. I wish I had saved the bug report number. Come watch me on my feed. This is crazy bad. I'm a partially deaf user, and I really worry that this INTENSELY LOUD STATIC will damage people's ears, especially people like me who listen through earphones.
