Same here, either the progress bar isn't good at the maths, or i'm not. started around 13gb, have around 7 left, 3% finished..0 -
LordSkyKnight✭✭✭✭✭Left my patcher on and went to breakfast with my friend. Afterwards we went and hung out. Got home and everything was patched up and ready to go.
Moral of the story is:
Sitting there watching the patcher is just going to drag it out for you. Go find something else to do and come to check it later."And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. dawnhawk✭✭✭The progress bar is...exactly that. A progress bar. Not a download bar.
It is a 20-25gb incremental patch. This means you download, unpack one part, shuffle things around. Then download/unpack another part, shuffle things around, rinse and repeat as many times as required.
The % is the percentage of the ENTIRE process (some which make take a long time - the download part, and some of which doesn't take very long at all - the unpack shuffle around part) is completed. Not an indication of time done or required.
