PTS is not the same server as Live. Anything you do on the PTS also does not get saved and transferred to the live server.0 -
Lord_Kreegan✭✭✭✭✭You've got the download (around 13,000MB) which is then unpacked to around 30,000MB; that has to then be applied. The percentage you see is a combination of the download, unpacking, and application, not just the download0

1) The PTS is a separate installation. Same as if you had both EU and NA installations.
2) This isn't the last patch that was on the PTS. That was 1.6.4, this is 1.6.5 - and there are significant differences.0 -

Mpcolson✭✭✭It really doesn't matter how big the download is... you are pretty much dead in the water until you download the whole thing. That time varies depending on a wide range of variables. Just let it run... go get a sandwich and read the patch notes (if you can find them. People seem to not be able to find the patch notes even though they are under "PATCH NOTES")

The_Doctor_ESO✭✭✭The download speed is really slow, my system can handle 1GB per second and I have FioS capable of 50MBPS but this patch is downloading at a max of 4MBS - probably sounds great to a lot of you - but it's 12:36 PST and I'm only at 8% since 8 this morning - what the devil is going on here? - I was about to call my ISP and *** about it - but I don't think it's on their end.
Zenimax I should be trying to play catch up with you - not the other way around.0 -

ZOS always chokes their downloads... I got 3.44/mbs top speed. It's all on their end. the Applying patch speed is much faster but the whole process will take a few hours. It's at least 20gb patch if you don't add languages.0 -

Lord_Kreegan✭✭✭✭✭Their downloads are "throttled" based on the number of players simultaneously trying to get the files; their "pipe" isn't infinite in size.
This is why they should be using torrents... peer-to-peer file transfers are data rate-bound only by what you set as your limits. Their pipe could be smaller (and cheaper) and we could get files faster.3 -

Well, I don't bad mouth Beth/ZOS but you should have thought to place the update on a bigger pipe, but I guess it wasn't in the loyalty program. Sorry it just makes me mad that I won't be able to play until tomorrow after if the pipe out is smaller than normal.
