PSA: How to prepare for 1.6

I made a cheat sheet for provisioners as far as collecting current ingredients for 1.6 recipes goes. (Info is drawn from Sneak_Thief's work) You might have noticed the prices of some of these items already escalating in guild traders.

The horse thing...maybe i'm missing out, but I find near 0 value in stamina or extra bag space.

Well bag space basically adds to your inventory slots. So if you have room for 100 things in your bag and you have a horse with 20 points in carrying, then you have 120 inventory slots while that horse is your primary horse (selected at the stable master).

Stamina is nice because if you have at least 10 stamina (or so) then if someone attempts to gank you while riding you aren't immediately thrown from the horse and can then dismount (quickly) and commence the beatings.

Edit: if your horse's stamina is all used up, then it doesn't matter how much it has, you will be immediately off your horse and stunned if attacked. So when I'm riding solo to a keep and I have a horse with 10 stamina (Imperial horses start at 10) then I do not gallop. Getting ganked off your horse (and we have a blue contingent that basically lives in the Alessia-Sejanus corridor in Haderus) and having to run again makes it take longer than the slow gallop through the first time. I always tell my guild mates to have a bridge buddy going across it in a joking manner but absolutely serious.

Spend more time in PTS giving feedback? Or wait longer for the next update? It's a little like dating, you can have something come out fast, something with a lot of content, something not buggy, or something balanced. Pick maybe a max of two and you're in the software development business.

Meanwhile this is a post on tips to protect your stuff and to possibly profit off the changes. Start a complaint thread and I'm sure you'd get more folks interested in joining in rather than getting off topic.

I have neither time, inclination, or vested interest to be ZOS free tester, thank you. The fact you chose to spend time compiling "tips" is your choice and I find it coutnerproductive as your actions help degrade already low development quality.

So it's on topic, you are free to disagree and I am free to post.

2. Make sure you have 10 less items from a full inventory if you use a purchased pack horse. When we change to 1.6 your horses will be made into one mount With their trained stats converted. Stats from purchase, like the 10+ from a pack horse, will not. Others had random items deleted on PTS, so keep your items 10 below the max!

Wait, wait, wait.....is this saying we are losing the inventory space gained (and the gold) used when we made pack horses?

Because I can tell you, I do not have any room whatever to store some of my loot in if we lose those extra slots.

The good...ish news is we'll be able to upgrade all our horses to 60 capacity after 1.6... and all our crafting mats will stack to 200... and most of the provisioning mats are going bad and can be vendored for 10g a piece on the spot. So you'll probably actually see more inventory space clear after the transition than you do now. But, if you're loosing items that might not be good news.

Also, IB4 ZoS puts in some arbitrary cap on how many Quests one Account can turn in daily when 1.6 hits just to keep Players from doing that very thing.

May have to settle for the Tamarillic equivalent, Hoarvers, where a mentally imbalanced Bosmer throws giant ticks at you while discussing philosophy.

Saving quest turn ins is a brilliant idea and I feel foolish for not thinking of it myself lol.

Here I've been going out of my way to avoid doing quests in order to save them for 1,6 and I could have had 20+ saved up, locked & loaded.

Guess I now have a new goal before Monday

Max Alchemy for medicinal use and have potions effects up 90% of the time ... 1.6 is changing how potions last.

Adding one to this list

Copy your User Settings file to another location just in case all your character Controls and Settings get wiped.

I know ZOS said this wouldn't happen again...but you know how that goes.

Thanks, that was one I forgot and with changes and the adding of new controls it could affect some. Also make sure to copy out your addons too, as with any update and addon updates will likely wipe out stored data too, affecting folks that might use harvest maps.

@Delindsay , too late. It's 25. (get to 25 and it actually won't let you pick up another quest!)
