Why isn't there more outrage over the lack of new content accompanying the Champion System?

Can any of you fine folks here on these forums explain why there is not more of an outrage or even a revolt by our fellow subscribers over the lack of new, XP rich content to accompany the Champion System? Other than the obscene weapon damage bug and sorcs who want viable skills instead of pets, there has not been much generating strong opinions about 1.6. Yet somehow, the vocal subscribers who hate the veteran ranks and grind have been largely silent on this massive problem with the Champion System - the lack of content to earn Champion Points. How are we supposed to earn CPs? How many more times do we have to play content we have already played countless times?

Where is the outrage over this? Are people distracted by the shiny, new CS that they have not looked under the hood to notice all of the flaws? Do people not care? The CS makes the VR1 to VR14 journey seem like a pleasant weekend and excursion? Why aren't people angry over this?

There has been outrage. ZOS doesnt care. They have proven time and time again they do not care about anyone currently playing the game. Only new people. The focus is now on selling cosmetic outfits to people. So most of the outraged have left. Our voices fall on deaf ears so why bother?

Because 9 months in, we only have Craglorn as new content.

Everybody that is still here is used to no new content.

Also, any actual new content from here on out will be monetized as paid DLC.

Does content magically appear by outrage?
Has revolt ever written one quest line, or added one mob to the spawn tables? No?

    So what's the point?

There are ample ways to earn XP for CP now, and there will be even more in the future. The energy that's wasted to build up and harbor negative emotions might as well be spent for doing something positive and productive in the meantime. The question everyone has to ask themselves is "Are you playing already, or are you still too busy complaining?"

I am not outraged, because this patch will finally open up the whole world for me. I can go where I want and do what ever I want and still progress my character..

Up until patch 1.6 it has been pretty much craglorn, cyrodiil, craglorn cyrodiil, craglorn....... Because there has been no point to go anywhere else.

How so? Vet ranks are staying for the forseeable future. You'll need to be in an area within 5 levels of VR14 to get any XP, this leaves your last 2 zones and Craglorn and whatever pitance of XP you can get from Cyrodil.

This is the process. It's OK, we're all going through it.

    1 - Shock
    2 - Anger
    3 - Resistance
    4 - Acceptance

This is now a F2P game. B2P is an interim cash grab, nothing more. They will release the DLC content they developed while we were paying our subs as purchasable content (Imperial City and Wrothgar). If these sell they *might* make more and try to profit from it. If the DLC doesn't sell they will stock the crown store with "chainkinis" to boost sales and leave the game to rot.

If you're angry about the decisions ZoS is making, make sure to unsub the day the game goes F2P. Even if you want to maintain your sub, unsub for a week just to send the message. Losing subs at that rate will make their accountants mess their pants, and will be unmistakable feedback from the user community.

I've been holding it in for so long...

Are you ready for my outrage?

    Here it comes...

    Wait for it...

    PPPPFFFFFTTTTTTTT...

    Sorry... It was just gas.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

They have finished getting people to pay for console beta testing and now they are focusing on milking the console market dry.

Don't worry, soon as the console market drys up they will sell you some more content for you to beta test.

I guess most players realize that completely overhauling the endgame and adding the justice system may have taken enough developer resources that some new content had to take a backseat.

Why not? Because this is new content. The Champion System is completely rewriting how this game works beyond Level 50, and yes, while Vet Ranks haven't been removed yet, this is still a huge deal. Oh, and you know what else is new content? The Justice System. That's HUGE. Absolutely game-changing. Have you spent an inkling of time on the PTS yet? Or are you blindly whining about the fact that we're not getting a new zone in addition to the two single largest changes the game has received since launch? Grow up.

Look, no one is pretending that this game is perfect, or that we wouldn't like to have more content than we currently do. But Patch 1.6 isn't just "Patch 1.6". For all intents and purposes, it's ESO 2.0. It should be "Patch 2.0", since it's changing the game in so many fundamental ways. To be honest, it's changing the game to be what it should have been at the launch last year. But bygones will be bygones, and there's nothing we can do about that.

To say that this patch has "no content" in it is, quite frankly, flat-out wrong and complete and utter BS, and it's also remarkably offensive to the development team that is in the process of pushing out the BIGGEST content pieces we've ever gotten. Relax, quit whining, and wait. Your precious new-zone content will come later this year. Probably 2-3x, by my estimations. Trust me, by the end of the year, ZOS will have turned 2015 into the year that 2014 could have, and should have been for ESO. And that's despite the venom coming from people on the forums.

Sure, if you ignore everything else that they've done for the game since release (which is what you're doing), then sure there's been absolutely no content.

1.6 is redefining the game as we know it. Champion System, the Justice System, Combat Rework, The Crown Shop, Character Reworks, and hundreds of smaller things like a completely new tutorial, new loading screens, Trading posts, etc...

You cannot honestly sit there and say there hasn't been any new content. You literally can't.

There have been more than plenty of us who brought this up in many different ways. All we got for it was LoL'd to death for the most part. Never mind that a huge bunch of those people by their own admission are nowhere near cap and have not been on the PTS ever. They have no clue what is coming their way.

Truth is the main people affected by it the worst are those of us at +12K achievements and sitting at vr14. All there is to do are PvE repeatbles or PvP, both of which give ambysmal xp gains. There is little reason to play a main at all until new content gets in the game. If you have alts in VR, at least that is something to work with.

Frankly, once B2P hits next month and then consoles, I'd say there will be even less concern since the vast majority of people already here will be completely overshadowed by the influx of new players who won't even be participating in this system anyway until they get to 50 in the first place. Be prepared for a very long wait.

I think we need to understand that re-designing a game does take a hell lot of resources from a company. The game we don't speak of had this with Cataclysm and the result was very thin content in the actual Expansion. It is what players get for focusing on minor issues while demanding that good systems already in place are not improved, but replaced.

Some of us tried to show our concerns over the new CS, unfortunately were those concerned muted by the vocal minority in this forum.

The vocal minority simply put doesn't care about new worlds, monsters or quests - they only need something to prove their "worth" towards others and this will work out greatly with the CS. It works like at D3, you get an almost endless grind and if you take it, then you are busy for a year or two. How often did we see those threads here "I am VR 14 and have nothing to do, help. Trials don't drop good loot and I can not put myself over non raiders...", ? Almost every day and while we know it was always by the same people, it seemed to have worked wonders.

Its a miracle to me that Game Designers always fall for these people, those who rush through the game and then demand new mechanics and more, more and again more for themselves than asking themselves, why the game is so boring for them already.

Those that farmed Craglorn from Vr 1-14, topped all the ladders and have a huge amount of gold in their banks, wont "revolt". It is how they define fun and unless those of us who came for AvA, Story and RP elements become very vocal nothing will change.

I still think that not improving the VR system was a mistake, not saying the CS is bad - but I would had liked a different approach, as lets face it. Many of us will never be able to really use the full potential of the CS, as we don't go to Craglorn or farm Dungeons and Raids for the top end XP. We might get XP for 100-500 CP´s in a year or two ;) and get tired already when we see a dungeon or trial twice. But this wont matter much as long there are people who grind MMOs and define this as their goal and fun and the ultimate way to go in MMOs.

Myself is still not yet in the VR´s in EU, for me nothing really changes as I have so much more content to go through, but I still understand everyone who did hope to see DB & TG or new zones for non premade gamers like with Wrothgar.

Don't blame the Dev´s, blame the current generation that consumes games like we consumed drugs and Rock & Roll in our youth :hushed:

Hmm... could you point me to the general direction that where did you find the info on the "within 5 levels of VR14 to get any XP"? Because if this is true then my VR14 seems to be bugged since it gets XP from VR1 kills, minimal but XP none the less.

EDIT: The actual exp amounts (Normal mobs)

    VR1-9: 129XP per kill.
    VR10: 322XP per kill.
    VR11-14: 430XP per kill.

We can rage all day and all night and its not going to make them give us new stuff. Even our suggestions, though they are seen... doesn't guarantee we are going to receive anything.

ZOS is gonna do what ZOS wants to do. When they are ready to release the content that they've been sitting on, we will get it.

Have you been on the PTS?

Do you know how much of the base game the Justice System and Champion System changes?

It is a huge rewrite of a lot of it. Maybe this is how the game should have been released in the first place. Hindsight is a glorious thing.

Nobody is debating the fact that we would like more zones, Imperial City and everything like that. But raging about it is not going to get us the content any faster.

And they are not releasing any of it until after console settles. Likely autumn. So, you have two choices. Play or not. Nobody can make that call for you.

No, he's just wrong, VR14 still gets XP from VR1 mobs, it's lower than 50 that has the +/- 5 level limit.

I just don't understand how ZOS might look at a thread like this (just like the multitude of identical other ones) and be like "yeah we are clearly doing stuff right" "people are well happy with no new content" "lets just give them fluff" and just go about their business. They have great customer service, Gina and Jess are awesome, but anything after that is just incredibly frustrating.

Personally, I will unsub as soon as I get both my rewards (the mount and costume)... After that, goodbye sub. I'll buy the DLCs as they come out. Why give ZoS the benefit of the doubt with a sub anymore? If they want any more of my money (after my damn loyalty awards of course lol) they are going to EARN it by putting out content that I deem worthy of my cash <muhahahahaha>
