I had to change my build 'cause in light armor there's a great chance to be one-shotted (the healer can't only stand and heal, but he has to dodge roll, parry most of the time if mobs are on him). This is the way the game has to be though... those in heavy resist, those in light die... eheheh
Personally I put 2 pieces of heavy armor and it worked perfectly for me (I use 5 pieces of the Warlock set and Seducer, this one is ok since I can craft heavy pieces instead of light ones).

Power of the Light's maximum damage is based on your maximum stamina, so no; you want Purifying Light.
The healing puddle is worthless though.
