Please no tuxes or suits. Yes to doublets, jerkins and other period/lore appropriate fare.
Edit: While we're at it, all this new clothing we can steal is totally useless because it takes up your armour slots. If that stuff could be made into costumes, say, using a costume conversion gem, it'll get ZOS more income and actually put their hard work on those designs to good use.
Yeah. I only want that dress for kicks and giggles (I'm still waiting for a bear mount. Bearded Nords in wedding dresses, riding bears? Yes please.) I wouldn't wear it on any real formal occassion. I am so not the white wedding dress kind of girl and neither are my characters. One could bring up the issue that not all women want a wedding dress for their fancy dress. I mean, wouldn't some want a Ball Gown, or even a simple black cocktail dress? If a wedding dress is all that women (or those who want to wear women's clothes) can aspire to, what does that say about the perception of the female gender by the devs?
I remember ZOS showing a ball gown dress and other variations on an ESO Live... but I do not remember any distinctly male outfits, unless you count armor as masculine.

Actually, you could consider the Blacksmith a typical male outfit, even though there are female characters working in smithies in the game.

The same thing's probably true of the chef's outfit, for whatever that's worth.
Honestly, this is more of a cultural thing anyway. Just in general, there are far more pieces of clothing you're likely to identify as female only than male only.
