I disagree. There shouldn't be more skill bars.
However, I highly recommend you the Wykkyd's Outfitter addon for quick skill bar changes -it allows you to create and save your skill bars-.
Guess I'm sticking with 2 bars then. I have no intention of f*cking about with my game by adding 3rd party rubbish into it that's been programmed by feck knows who ! Never used addons, not gonna start now !

Yes, there should be more skill bars, but not in the traditional sense.
What I'd like to see is having your skill bar change when crouching & perhaps even while running.
They could create special skills just for these bars, or have them act like any other skill bar.
Sorry console peasants can not handle more than 6 skills at a time, their brains might explode. Also Xbone controllers can't handle PC games so we only got a crappy 6 skills to play with. This game was designed for consoles not PC.

You currently can't use any abilities while sprinting, but I like the idea of a crouching "stealth" bar.
I don't think you're really talking about active skill bars, are you? It sounds like you're talking about gear loadouts, which I would agree with adding. As noted above, Wykkd's Outfitter adds this functionality.
If you're talking about have up to 4 sets that you could access like a weapon swap during combat than I don't agree.

Whether it was "designed for consoles" or not actually has no relevance to this question whatsoever.
Actually yes it does, the simplicity of the UI, skills, game design etc etc is all based and designed around a console platform, influencing the game design as a whole with number of skills being one of the things influenced. It's obvious this game was designed around a console platform in mind for the future, not a PC platform.
Hence why they will never increase the amount of skills or bars available on the GUI.
Answering the OPs question.

If you browse much older parts of this forums, you may stumble across a thread mentioning one addon that introduced some malign code in an update, stealing peoples gold...
That's one of the problems, you never know what else an addon might be doing behins the scenes. The other of course is it might suddenly go wonky after a large update someday.
People who like addons will take their chances, and most times, have no trouble.
People who don't like addons will often curse and have a very low opinion of addons and everyone who uses them.
I never used then, and never want to. But see no reason to unload verbal attacks on any who do (as long as they aren't gaining an unfair advantage from their addons, like, say, stringing multiple attacks together in cyrodil through animation canceling exploits... but that's for the powers that be to deal with anyhow)
But back on topic...^ This!NewBlacksmurf wrote: »You're playing the wrong game. This as is works great.

To each their own, I guess. There are games that cater to the other taste as well, I am just happy ESO is not one of those...

Sure, you are right.
It's a matter of taste. But I dislike using skill A again and again and again and again and again and again and again. That's exactly how it works now. Many builds rely on spamming ONE ability till you run out of ressources - that's what I find dull.
