I agree. Loyalty rewards are pointless now. Everyone will have them and they wont be rare at all. Noone will know youve been here a long time like they claimed. Just bust out the credit card. Shame really but hey what can ya do. Ill just cancel my sub March 17th and never give em another dime.

Wisecracking senche mount 50 bucks? here you go.

I'm loyal so I get said mount. cool

The debate here is about value, rather than any perceived loyalty

The people getting the best value are the ones who did not subscribe from the beginning, it's the ones who got the game at a discount later on and choose to front load their subscription time between now and March 17 using game cards to receive all past loyalty rewards and maximize their conversion of future sub time in crowns (remember future sub time gets you 1500/month while past sub time gets you 100/month.

Really they should have completely separated both programs.

Since I find implementation of this loyalty program to be lacking, I have created my own loyalty reward program, the Slurg Reward Program (SluRP). To participate, all you need to do is be a preorder customer who subscribed from the very beginning and didn't miss a month, and subscribe until March 18. Your reward is the freedom to cancel your sub and play for free for however many months until new content is released. I expect this will provide good value for the money.

Ok guys, thanks for your patience. For our last two loyalty reward deployments, before we retire the Loyalty Program, we've made a few eligibility adjustments. These changes are to ensure that those who would have been eligible if the Loyalty Program had continued can still receive and enjoy the rewards before it ends.

From now until we retire the Loyalty Program, you'll be eligible for loyalty rewards based on the time you've purchased (instead of time that you've already played.) That means you'll receive the Mask of Cheerful Slaughter as long as you’ve purchased nine months of game time, even if you haven't spent nine months subscribed yet. Since we're ending the program, we want to make sure that more folks have the opportunity to get the rewards. This goes for the three- and six-month rewards as well.

Hope this makes sense and clarifies your questions!

YES! I'm so happy I could kiss you. Thank you, thank you 100 times over. Time to buy even more game time to celebrate!

So... Just curious. Do the people that pay enough money to get the "loyalty" rewards receive their rewards at the time they pay? Or do they have to wait till the time elapses like all of us did who paid ahead 3 or 6 months at a time or so on during the first year of the game's life?

lol...this "loyalty" program is a complete joke.

Isn't it 100 CP per month and not 1500?

According to the FAQ it's 100 for past months and 1500 for future months remaining on the sub:

    How do I get crowns?
There are several ways to get crowns:

1 ) As a new player: New players will be given a one-time gift of 500 crowns for buying the game and creating a game account.

2 ) As a current subscriber: If you are an active subscriber when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited launches, you will receive 500 crowns for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period you have been an active subscriber. In addition, you'll be automatically enrolled in ESO Plus for the remainder of your subscription period. You'll receive the full benefits of membership, and 1500 crowns for each 30-day period remaining on your subscription. For example, if you have 30 days or less remaining, you will receive 1500 crowns. If you have between 30 and 60 days remaining, you will receive 3000 crowns. 60 to 90 days, 4500 crowns.

I complained about this over on my thread about the 100c per month...
A player that joins TODAY and pays for 10 months of subscription will receive the Striped Senche Mount, the Mask of Cheerful Slaughter, 1 month of "thank you" Crowns and 13500 Crowns for 9 months of Tamriel Unlimited subscription.

A player that has subscribed since day 1 will receive the mount, the costume and 1000 Crowns for 10 months of 'thank you' crowns.

Seems about right, doesn't it 'loyal customers'... do you feel thanked?

They have never even said they're looking into that as far as I'm aware. I suspect the answer is that those of us who have been here from the start can continue to "prove our love for this game" by continuing to pay them money. This new decision to allow people to buy the loyalty rewards is to get more money from more people; the company already has our money.

Loyal players presumably are loyal because they enjoy the game and most likely want the game to succeed. I understand wanting to feel appreciated for dedication but as someone who wants to see the game thrive, I hope people are lining up to buy the game now and drop $150 to get these items.

Wow. Just wow. (and I don't mean the game).

I know I have often stated I do not care about the loyalty rewards for myself, and I don't. The items are cluttering my vault and I could care less about them as I find them useless and ugly.

But I know this program has mattered to many people here. All you are doing by adjusting these "few eligibility requirements" is throwing another big bucket of cold water on those people - again - just like with the Senche.

    In fact, even worse.

I have played several FTP games in my day, some even that have been absolutely disgusting in their total focus on grabing the quick cash as often as possible, yet I have to say this moves tops the cake because at least these other games I am thinking of have had the decency to call a spade a spade and not pretend they were doing people a FAVOR.

Uhm a player that joins TODAY and pays for 10 months will receive some vanity stuff and 13500 more crowns for even more vanity stuff.

A player that has subscribed since day 1 will receive some vanity stuff, 1000 more crowns for even more vanity stuff and 10 months of access to the game that gives you plenty of time to develop you character(s), enjoy the game etc. Didn't you enjoy your time with ESO? Then why you payed for all that time...

I also played since day 1 and i'm ok with ZOS approach to this if they decided to shut down whole loyalty rewards ppl that was subbed for 8,5 months would get half less rewards than guy who was subbed for 10 months, are they that less loyal? And what even loyalty means here, i missed 1 month of sub when i was on vacation but have played hundreds of hours more than many casual players here, am i less loyal cuz i payed 15$ less in last 10 months?

What they did makes sense. Without B2P and the retirement of the reward program, everyone who reached 9 months would have gotten this. It would not have mattered if you started on March 30, 2014, or sometime next year. This ensures that they give out the reward to people who were in before the program ended, without having to spend employee resources tracking a shrinking pool of players. (Those players who were playing before the end of the reward program that need to get their reward when the 3, 6, 9 month period is up)

They obviously do not want to keep up the 3, 6, and 9 month programs with ESOTU, and that may be in part to the fact that they never automated the process. Someone has a job at ZOS to do these rewards. That person can do something else, now.

Paying for that much in one go seems really excessive, almost cringe worthy. I mean what a way to burn money for pixels o.0

Loyalty rewards are supposed to serve as a happy extra along side the main purchase (playing the game). This is getting eerily close to people just paying for rewards because they want those and not the game...lol!
