I am glad LOL is gone to be fair. It was being abused. I'd rather there just be a "Disagree."
While the overhaul was focused on the desktop visuals, we were also able to resolve access issues some mobile users were encounters caused by the previous forum structure. The new structure should be far more mobile friendly.
Please let us know about any other issues you encounter, especially on mobile devices, and we'll see what we can do to further improve the mobile experience. To help us track down problems, we ask that you include what browser/device you are using when you encounter an issue. Many of you are already doing this, and we thank you for that!

There used to be a Disagree button in 2013 and it was removed early 2014. Some closed beta testers were using it to harass others and I remember contentious threads where people complained about the harassment. It made sense that ZOS removed Disagree, but unfortunately LOL became the new Disagree.
I wish the whole forum star system were removed so people would stop playing a forum star contest game and instead use the forums to help others, exchange information, provide constructive feedback, and build relationships.

Relationships? This forum doesn't even have a friend list.I wish the whole forum star system were removed so people would stop playing a forum star contest game and instead use the forums to help others, exchange information, provide constructive feedback, and build relationships.I am glad LOL is gone to be fair. I honestly wouldn't mind a Disagree but wouldn't mind if the system was tossed out for good, either. I just think it's obnoxious to use something that is suppose to be a positive thing to mock a post. I'd rather just people disagree with a post than laugh at it. I guess? Either way I knew LOL = Disagree for most occasions.

I have to admit I participated in a couple of those "what does LOL mean" threads just to get LOL's for the badges.I wonder what would happen if they dared to get rid of the forum achievements system altogether. It seems like its a common practice to have the achievement system, but I feel like it encourages some people to treat forums more like a mini game.
