ZoS is already considering adding a "Disagree" button. The LOL button was ambiguous anyway as some used it because they didn't like the comment, others because they thought the comment was hilarious, and others still just because they don't like that poster.
So we'll have a civilized button to press in disagreement with bad posts instead of arguments after all?
What a shame; was looking forward to the flamefests of a b2p forum where people who disagreed had no option but to respond to the poster.
The LOL button told them nothing either as you had no idea what the meaning behind the person clicking LOL on your post. At least 'Disagree' is obvious.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »I think they should reconsider. There is no real use for a disagree button. It tells them nothing.

Teargrants wrote: »Really dude? Is that really the best argument you can come up with, discounting using a button to express disagreement with a post as just expressing "negativity" "anonymously"? By that logic, why not remove all buttons then, so ppl can't express their positivity anonymously? Or is this where we get to the double standard; that somehow negative feedback is taboo and god forbid someone were to feel bad because someone clicked disagree on their post.Teargrants wrote: »Why zos whyyyyyyyyyyyy?! Where is the logic behind this? God forbid we have a means of indicating that we feel someone's post is silly and/or incorrect.
Ok from now on, let us all agree to use "insightful" replace "lol", which was previously used to replace "disagree".
You guys can still express your negativity. Just put it in a reply... The o only difference is you can't do it anonymously anymore.
If you do make insightful your new lol, I really don't think anyone will mind at all.
First off, what is wrong with expressing a negative opinion on a forum for a rated M game of all things?
What is wrong with anonymous feedback over the internet? Everyone on this forum is supposed to be an adult, why not treat them like adults? If ppl can't take negativity/trolls on the internet, they really have no business coming to online forums. I'm just really tired of all this babying - removing 'disagree' in beta, and now removing 'lol'.

What are you saying? You cannot disagree without resorting to flaming?
Agree doesn't explain why you agree. Only that you didn't care enough to bother posting why you agree... See I can do that too, your argument is invalid.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »The LOL button told them nothing either as you had no idea what the meaning behind the person clicking LOL on your post. Disagree doesnt explain why you disagree. Only that you didnt even care enough to bother posting why you disagree. So it gives literally no feedback whatsoever. Hence why they got rid of it. Be crazy to bring it back after the mess it caused originally.

Moderate for a f2p gaming forum, and have seen how many sorts of pointless crapposts were replaced here with the pressing of the "LOL" button instead.
Yes there was the LOL spam that some players seem to be terrified of; however, that LOL spam was in place of posts like "lol" "stupid" and "op doesn't know anything".
Would rather have such...insights handled via button rather than having to scroll through them as posts.
So I guess Spider-Man memes are out too now . I'm trying to think of something constructive but I can only be constructive when I'm having fun , and let's face it , the LOL button was the Fun button . Maybe it's time to make my own forums .
