You cannot disagree with someone without making some anonymous quip? If you disagree post you disagree.
No, I did not say that I couldn't, actually. I generally "voice" my opinion as well as a click of a button, thank you. However, as this thread proves, something else will be used. So the options then become, A. Give us a disagree button or B. Remove them all. Problem solved

Really dude? Is that really the best argument you can come up with, discounting using a button to express disagreement with a post as just expressing "negativity" "anonymously"? By that logic, why not remove all buttons then, so ppl can't express their positivity anonymously? Or is this where we get to the double standard; that somehow negative feedback is taboo and god forbid someone were to feel bad because someone clicked disagree on their post.Teargrants wrote: »Why zos whyyyyyyyyyyyy?! Ok from now on, let us all agree to use "insightful" replace "lol", which was previously used to replace "disagree".
You guys can still express your negativity. Just put it in a reply... The o only difference is you can't do it anonymously anymore.
If you do make insightful your new lol, I really don't think anyone will mind at all.

I think it has to do with a fundamental difference with agreeing and disagreeing with something.
If you agree with something (without caveats) then there is pretty much nothing more you can say apart from "I agree". Because what is, effectively, being said is "Everything that you have said here goes for me too". The post doesn't contain much more information than the button press.
If you disagree with something then I believe that it immediately becomes more complex. I can't speak for other people but I tend to disagree with things for a reason. Just clicking on a disagree/lol button does nothing to share or explain that reason and so doesn't tend to further the discussion much. So in this case a post would add information that the button press wouldn't.
Anyway, that is just how I see it. Feel free to disagree.

First off, what is wrong with expressing a negative opinion on a forum for a rated M game of all things?
What is wrong with anonymous feedback over the internet? Everyone on this forum is supposed to be an adult, why not treat them like adults? If ppl can't take negativity/trolls on the internet, they really have no business coming to online forums. I'm just really tired of all this babying - removing 'disagree' in beta, and now removing 'lol'.

ZoS is already considering adding a "Disagree" button. The LOL button was ambiguous anyway as some used it because they didn't like the comment, others because they thought the comment was hilarious, and others still just because they don't like that poster.
