Hello.I recently bought Elder Scrolls Online and as i read in the forums im having similar problems with my game.At first my computer wasnt reading the CD then i restarted my computer and i was able to download it and as soon as it reached %100 it closed it self so i thought my work was done. But after that i double clicked on the launcher ,the loading thing happened on my cursor and then it didnt open. There were people who had the same problem as i did and i didnt find any solution in the posts that i looked.I checked the minimum required specs of the game and my computer is suited for it.İ dont understand what the problem is i tried everything i saw on the forums but still couldnt solve this.Someone please help me with this

I finaly managed to open the game.I opened Local Disk(c)/Program Files(x86)/Zenimax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online EU/game/client and then i found the file eso.exe and double clicked on it.The game opened but it didnt open with any kind of patching or launcher.(Also i read that the game would use 60 gb space of your PC and my game only has 29 GB) Will i have any problems??

it needs 60 gb to install but only 30 when it is installed...

as to the launcher not working the only fix ive managed to find was a comlete re-install... sorry

@Jitterbug at first i thought of that too but i tried re-installning the game 2 times and still nothing. And i tried to log in and it gives errors,i think its because of the game opening without the launcher.

So you can't play at all even when using eso.exe?
    Hmm...

Do you install from a CD?

    Hey there @xRegosx,

Launching from the .exe file will launch the game in its current patched state. If you've never opened the launcher, you won't have any updates for the game, so you'll be on patch 1.0.1 or something similar, and won't be able to connect to the server.

If the above didn't work, a large majority of the time this issue has occurred in the past is due to some form of Malware. We have an internal article on this issue that may just do the trick:
We believe this may be due to a malware, spyware, or virus issue. To check your computer for malware, please follow the instructions on the Microsoft support website: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx

In addition, it might be helpful to reboot the computer in safe mode and then search for malware. To boot in safe mode, please follow these instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-vista

When you get to the step "Advanced startup options", please select "Safe Mode with Networking", to allow internet access even when in safe mode.

A virus/malware scan is never a favorite suggestion in tech support, but when the vast majority of similar cases are resolved with the steps above, we tend to peg hoofbeats to horses instead of zebras. All the same, let us know if the above doesn't help and we'll be happy to continue working with you!

Don't lose hope @xRegosx, we're happy to continue helping until the issue is resolved!

The next bit of troubleshooting will require some additional information, so our best suggestion is to send a ticket to Customer Support with a game consultant file attached. In your ticket, please include the steps you've already taken, which we'll include here in a nice list so you can just copy/paste :D.

-Installed from the discs and the launcher doesn't open

-Automatic and Proxy configuration in KB 3054
    -Updated operating system
-Checked for malware/viruses using Microsoft's KB.
-Ran the launcher as an administrator
-Downloaded launcher from the website, same results

Well, thanks for your support @ZOS_GaryA‌ and everyone who looked in to this discussion.I was thinking to post 1 last comment,a summary list of the things i did to solve the problem:

*I tried to open the launcher as administrator.
*I tried to download the launcher from the elderscrollsonline website.
    *I updated my OS(operator system).
    *I checked for malware/viruses using Microsoft's KB.
    *I re-installed the game.
*I checked my proxy settings.(Details are posted in the website).
*I manually downloaded The Game Consultant File in order to send information to customer support team.
*And finally i restarted my computer and opened it in safe mode(the one with internet options).I was able to open the launcher with this final step. The game was downloaded and i restarted my computer and opened it in normal mode. The game was downloaded but my launcher still wasnt opening. In order to open the game directly i opened the folder from My Computer Local Disk(c)/Program Files(x86)/Zenimax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online EU/game/client and opened the file eso.exe and i was finall able to play the game.

I hope this can be helpful to anyone who has problems similar to mine.Good luck
