i keep on getting either of these errors when i try log in to my account on the game, i managed to get through once and played for 15 minutes before the game crashed and i was no longer able to log in. i've been playing for less than a week now and this is ridiculous, i thought i would play tonight for a couple hours after work but it seems like i wont. this wouldn't be such a big deal if i didn't just spend £50 on the game... quite frankly this game seems to be very unstable and im surprised you released it over a year ago and it is still so volatile.... one week i have been playing.... and im already thinking of leaving, the gameplay itself is great and im enjoying it but if i pay £50 and can't even play the thing when i want to, i feel somewhat mugged off and do not appreciate what i have purchased.... don't mean to moan so much but jeeze this is lousy... now, whats the solution to this error problem??

    Hey there @Uthgar,

These are both issues that are connection related, and usually they are related to concurrent running software applications such as anti-virus or firewall software. Our best suggestion is to either ensure that you have created an exception in your anti-virus/firewall for the Elder Scrolls Online folder, or temporarily disable these security programs and only try running ESO. If you choose the latter, please ensure that you re-enable those programs prior to browsing the web.

If you continue to experience the same issue after working around these programs, please contact our customer support team with a game consultant file attached. They'll be able to take a look at this document and provide troubleshooting based on your specific situation. Thanks for your patience!

    your solution did not work....

by looking at the forums i can see that i am experiencing every problem that people might get, first it started with errors and being disconnected, then it was instant crashing of the client when the character loaded, and now it is the eternal load screen that occurs as soon as i log in and before i see my characters. Is it possible to get a refund on the game, as i do not want to play anymore and only played for a few days, and therefore i feel ripped off having spent £50 for a taster of a good game that is too unstable to play. its not right for me to have been charged so much to not be able to use what i paid for. So can you please direct me to where and how i can get refunded on the purchase... I am incredibly disapointed with this, i fully enjoyed all the elder scrolls games, and i would have loved this game too

    Hey there @Uthgar,

If you would prefer to receive a refund, you'll need to contact customer support. They'll be able to get you started on that process.

If you would prefer to continue troubleshooting, please let us know if this crash happens with every character you try, or if you are able to log in to an alternate character. If you don't have an alternate character, please try creating a new one and let us know if you can get in!
