ZoS do you plan to address the serious faction imbalance issues with 1.6? It is my humble opinion that AD faction should be locked for a long period of time and let the other two factions stabilize. PvP is currently completely one sided in most cases if you are EP or DC.

The only way to fix this is to faction lock AD for sometime on PC only. ZoS no offense intended...however you catered to AD streams...such as Entropy Rising and Shoddy Cast. Most of which have left the game. By doing this you encourage players further rolling on a over populated faction and further ruining the pvp aspect of the game. As well as making EP and DC guild recruitment....poor at best.

Some advise...stop promoting streamers completely. You gain nothing from it. Next lock AD faction till the other factions stabilize. Encourage players to roll on other factions and discourage streamer guilds.

Meanwhile EP runs Thornblade, Blackwater Blade, and toys with Haderus. AD and EP are fine. DC could definitely use a population boost though.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they won't bother with the requests. Also, EP far exceeds the other two factions currently with regard to all but one map (Azura's Star).

Seriously which Cyrodiil server are you PvPing at? Quite frankly they fluctuate, before this weekend DC was top dog with EP being second, now AD is at the top.

Welcome to never ending PVP areas, where the party never end.

The problem with three faction system the way eso introduced it are the campaign ends and leaderboard rewards.

For example in DAoC the two weak realm were likely to team up on the op realm because both of them would have benefits in the end.

In eso this works differently because there is first, second and third on the scoreboard for campaigns (nonsense imho). This leads to fighting between the two weaker alliances for second place and nullifies the advantages a three faction system could have had (the majority of the time).

Lastly the DC part of the cyrodiil map is (subjectively i admit) the most unattractive one for a solo and small scale player. There are no clear routes people follow and very few points of interest.

I don´t think they can adress the faction imbalances without partly reworking cyrodiil and/or how campaigns and scoring work. Tbh i don´t think this is anywhere to be found on their current priorities with this game.

SWG had the same issue. After a while the Rebel Faction was way bigger than the Imperial Faction and made PvP battles kind of one sided.

That being said, I don't think I can get behind locking down a faction to promote another.

No, it's not. All of them are quite balanced on the EU megaserver. There is no faction that is completely behind or ahead.

If I look into the campains, it's quite balanced.

OP has no idea what he/she is talking about. Maybe the PTS has lotsa AD, but who cares? If this is about live, then this post belongs in the PvP section of the forums. /thread

No, it's not. All of them are quite balanced on the EU megaserver. There is no faction that is completely behind or ahead.

DC is slightly behind on NA servers as it has been. DC has basically decided not to play this campaign. There's a real feeling of what's the point when it will all be night capped anyways. We are sick of taking the lead then being night capped constantly by 30-40 people who love PvDoor.

Atleast this is how I feel.

Part of the reason that the EP is so large is that they have had a lot of people jump ship from the other two factions. I have seen several of my friends do so and I have heard that entire guilds have done so. What it will do is completely kill PvP. I am one of the stubborn holdouts that play exclusively DC, but if I jump into Cyrodil and see a completely red map, I check my guest campaign. If it is red too, then I go play Sims 4. I am not going to be a gank target. I prefer the campaign to be a mix of colors because then I feel like I make a difference and have a chance. No one likes to loose constantly.

I disagree. It may be easier to see from the PVE leaderboards (12/02 version by @daemonios).

Weekly AA:
- 4/10 AD
- 5/10 EP
- 1/10 DC

Sanctum Ophidia:
- 6/10 AD
- 4/10 EP
- 0/10 DC

Vet DSA:
- 13/30 EP
- 11/30 AD
- 06/30 DC

We're either very bad or less numerous to create such differences.

ad has like 10x the pve population as ad. Look at the trial or weekly leaderboards sometime.

DC is by far the smallest when you account for Both. Ep has a lot more pvpers relative to it's total Which keeps pvp looking even.

DC is the least populated faction because most people find their PvE zones horrendous; not to mention the.. warm reception.. some of us re-rolling to DC get from the DC players(iv already had someone call me the A word... lol. for no reason too)

ZOS really should do paid faction transfers or whatever that is called, and give disadvantages to the winning faction. the winning alliance gets scroll bonuses and emperor-ship. While not impossible to beat, this discourages the losing alliances from participating(not to mention the PvP bonuses carry over to PvE, which is one of the main reasons buff servers are around)

DC is certainly the least populated and underdog faction.

But when the purple alliance is rolling you are tied for first! (until ep decides they want to crown an emperor or something haha)

DC zones are the same: zombie apocalypse simulator! Who wants to kill zombies zone after zone!?

And there's haven't been game about Daggerfall since TES II, there's no hype about this alliance. EP has Morrowind and Skyrim. AD has territory which haven't been explored, they are in Skyrim as antagonists, very strong and on the way to rule Tamriel aaaand Ayrenn is voiced by Kate Beckinsale.

DC has orcs and... can't think of anything else.

I think Daggerfall has the nicest zones, due to their "darker mood".

Aldmeri is bright and colorful, that's a bit boring (though I have to say I really enjoy some quest lines, especially in Grahtwood) and EP... nice zones, but the whole faction lacks coherence.

Solution:
Count alliance population (some games have such function)
And introduce bonuses to the less populated alliance.Bonuses will changed according to Live population on server.
For example we have 3 alliances:

1 =0 bonuses
2=5% to all
3=10% to all
