1.) Dark nights, Morrowind Dark nights

2.) I miss the almost constantly creepy atmosphere that Morrowind had

3.) The spells of Mark and Recall

4.) Hircines Ring as it existed in TES III Morrowind

5.) The scrolls of Icarian flight (I know full well these will never be implemented in game as they would break a lot of the mechanics)

6.) Daedric relics in General like the Lords Mail and Stendarr's Hammer

7.) Black soul gems should still be needed to harvest human souls, and if they don't want to make black soul gems then at least offer an in game explanation as to why the Black Soul Gems are not needed to trap human souls in the second Era but they are needed from the Third Era on.

8.) Torches that could be carried and would eventually burn out.

9.) The spell of light that you could cast on yourself

10.) Racial's special abilities like chameleon, night eye, ancestral guardian, water breathing etc.

I love this! You deserve an awesome. Morrowind wasn't my favorite TES game and I'm not sure all of this would fit into the ESO world, but it was a wonderful trip down memory lane.

I particularly remember Mark & Recall. My TES game was Oblivion and only afterwards did I play Morrowind. I remember finding my first Mark amulet (oddly enough, it was one of the very first things I found in the first game I played) and being, like, what?? And then many hours later I found a Recall amulet and tried to use and ... whoosh! I thought I'd broken my game.

In the end it was like getting kissed for the first time: you're like: what ... is ... this? Then you figure it out and it's like ... Oh! That's nice!

What I liked about it was the creativity in the design. You had to find the spell/amulet and learn to use it. It made sense, in a magical world. It wasn't just "Click this icon on a map and jump to your location."

I do miss all the classes, and the TES classes, and I really wish they hadn't felt the need to change them.

In the latest ESO Live, they touched on what was said to be racial ultimates, which is definitely interesting. Though this is only on the drawing board as of now. I'd rather like to see active abilities though.

I do miss doing Aedra or Daedra quest related items. It would be interesting to have to find a questline for this and have the chance at an item. Maybe the item would be slightly better than whatever you get at that level or it could be end game related and it would be a purple tier drop that you could get by doing the quest. The quests could even lead to dungeons that you would have the ability to do with others (although I'd rather have it solo content). If the relic was obtainable at lower levels perhaps it could scale with you as you level to keep it relevant. Maybe instead of weapons/armor and items it offered the chance for more skill points or unique spells or skills (would have to ensure they don't break pve/pvp ovbiously). It would just be something fun for lore buffs who enjoy those longer quests.

I'll agree on the specific Aedric and Daedric quests. I liked them a lot.

One thing that has been suggested on the forums in the past is giving you an option in ESO to choose to follow a particular member of the Divines, or a particular Daedric lord. Have a quest associated with proving your faith, and at the end you get some sort of a buff. Ideally this might take the form of allowing you to pray at a shrine to your chosen Divine/Deadra and select a particular buff from a limited number of options specific to your patron. That would then stay with you like a Mundus stone buff does, until you go back to the shrine and pray at it to pick a different buff. There could also be a quest associated with renouncing your faith if you want to switch to the worship of a different Divine or Daedric lord (you would then, of course, have to do their quest to become one of their faithful followers). OK, so that's not exactly something I miss from previous TES games, but it's something I'd like to see added because I miss the Aedric and Daedric quests from previous TES games, and this could be a substitute for them.

Another thing that I really miss from previous TES games (OK, this one is specifically from Skyrim) is Blackreach. I loved exploring Blackreach. It put me so much in mind of the old Descent into the Depths of the Earth and Vault of the Drow modules for AD&D 1e.

I just love all the suggestions! Such nostalgia!

Though some of them would require a lot of work and effort (like housing) and some of them are (unfortunately) impossible due to game mechanics as they are (and should be for an online game), there are MANY things here that are certainly easier and quick to do ;)
So.... Let us increase a bit of Daedric Summoning skill and call forth @ZOS_MattFiror‌ to read on this post

Also, I'd like to add another minor addition that I think would make this game so much more immersive, beautiful and a true TES experience:

    WEAPON SHEATHS/SCABBARDS

Please, I hate to look like a World of Warcraft character, with unsheathed weapons hanging from my belt... Give us weapons sheaths, pretty please!?
Think about it, you could even 'sell' custom scabbards in the Crown Store (wink, wink  )

And now that I mentioned it, having both our weapon sets shown at the same time (like bow + quiver on back and dual wield on waist) would be awesome too. Similar sets could have alternate spots to avoid clipping (like if you use two sets of dual-wield, one of them would be crossed on your back, etc...)

This one is actually explained in game. You need to find one of the lore books from Galerion. It's the "Guild Memo on Soul Trapping." You can find a copy here: http://www.esohead.com/books/240-guild-memo-on-soul-trapping

The basic takeaway is that the whole Black Soul Gem system is a bit of a cheat because the soul trapping spells the Mages Guild teaches are deliberately flawed. The soul trapping spell the players get is (apparently) a byproduct of their connection to Cold Harbour, meaning it has no such limitation.

1 Very rare and weird items
    2 Hidden caches
    3 Mark and recall

I'm not saying they are or aren't feasible in an mmorpg, but I do miss them.

    _______________________________________

1 I miss items that were weird or had some kind of negative effect or side effect along with a positive that you had to figure out, so you could use the item.

For example, in Morrowind, The Boots of Blinding Speed. As you can imagine, they made you travel really fast, which was cool because of the plodding speed you start out at in that game. But the down side is that they blind you.

Since my character was a Breton, I had 50% magic resist. When I wore the boots, the world got very dark, but I could see where I was going. I got some magic resist items until I had 100% magic resist. Then I could use the boots to full effect. Combining that with levitation, I could fly around Morrowind. It was so much fun.

2 My favorite discovery was the vaults in Vivec. Each of the great houses had vaults there. You had to have high lock picking skill and stealth and you couldn't carry all the awesome wealth that was there. It was just too heavy. So you had to decide what to take. The armor, the sword, the gems, the weird magic items?

3 Yes, I agree that Mark and Recall were really fun and made exploring and finding special places even more exciting. I remember how awesome it was to find Azura's shrine in Morrowind and how hard it was for me to get there.

Quoted for truth. Even back when it came out I found Morrowind's graphics off-putting. Too much uncanny valley for me. As far as story and such, though, it was a great game.

Don't pay too much attention to people who see it through rose-coloured glasses... It wasn't nearly as perfect as a lot of people would have you believe. It was a great game though.

No, Ourorboros you are a LOT twisted, but that's okay, you fit right in.

I loved the boots of blinding speed; that was my all-time favorite item. Next best was my totally ridiculous collection of "summon X for X-ty seconds" items that I crafted (or found). When I got into a tough dungeon (usually a tomb. Damn, I miss tombs too) I would just summon about 7-8 ghosts and so on and hang back and they would do most of the fighting.

I miss being able to crouch up super close to a door and then summon a scamp to the other room, and listen to the combat.

    I miss Russola being LUMINOUS!!

And dragontail vines, and coda flowers .....

Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
