I completely agree with this statement. Typically if I want to play other zones in games that have separate factions, starter areas etc... I make an alt to have a completely different experience. If I don't want that, I just move on to other end game things. End game here goes back to the beginning and then back to the end game it seems. Wah waaaOnly thing that bugged me about veteran zones, is replaying the same quests outside of the starter zones. Level 8-50 or thereabout.

Considering there are 9 levels of equipment materials across three skill lines, with one skill line using two different styles, the effort would be ridiculous. That's 36 materials that need changing and that's before the consumables need to be retooled. Paul Sage said on Elder Scrolls OTR that the removal of the vet system will happen after console release but it's not likely it will happen this year because of the amount of retooling needed. If they delayed the B2P launch, they would need to then delay the console release yet again which result in more lost revenue and potentially a dwindling of the current community.
I'll say it again as I said in in another thread: ZOS can't remove VR because if they do they have no content after 50.
VR content is straight-up vertical progression based an increasing character and mob levels, CS have nothing to do with scaling content 'power' in anything remotely resembling level-based.
Simple solution until they remove them:
- If you have at least one VR14 character on your account, all new characters will automatically reach VR14 once reaching level 50 (instead of VR1).
- This does not add any exp towards champion points.
Might stay a bit longer if I can play my alts in endgame content as promised.

The vet grind is still too much. Simply put, leveling is one of the most boring aspects of ESO. The 1-50 story is interesting compared to the competition, but everything after is where it starts to get old fast. Only a few of us, in my guild, came back to check out ESO recently and I'm the only one that's still around regularly.
My guild community had 70 join at ESO launch. I'm not sure if half that number will return for the b2p switch. However, I'm pretty sure that most of those that return will not be staying if the current grind stays the same. Everyday I get asked "Did they remove vet levels yet"? It doesn't help when I tell them that vet levels were increased..
ZOS needs to remove vet levels before the payment model change or drastically reduce the grind further. It would also help if having more than 2 people in a party didn't receive a massive xp hit. At least that way friends/guildies of any vet level could progress together without dragging the grind out further.

The Vet zones at least offer you new content! Once you are done with the Vet zones, the real grind behind with the CS.
You either kill the same mob all day, run dungeons or trials or you do daily quests. This is the real problem with ESO and not the VET zones.

I wish I had the choice to level through pvp but it's terrible slow.
