    End game content seems to be something that many developers are struggling with in recent games. Honestly, I think it's mostly because we as players have no idea what we want, at least in terms of realistic expectations.
    ooooo, give me stuff now! I don't want to have to work for it at all!!!!! Awesome American mentality.

    Awesome sociologically discriminatory (and baseless) statement.

    The worst part is that PvP is the only alternative to Caldwell's Silver/Gold for non-grind leveling, and the PvP xp is so unbelievably slow.

    Not only slow XP, but after awhile it's just boring and pointless. You race from keep to keep and do exactly the same things over and over again endlessly. Or you hang around in the shadows ganking people going by your hiding spot. There is no variety in PvP at all. And the rewards are not anything special.

    If you want to try for emperor, you basically have to give up everything else in your life. For what? To have some silly title and feel important in an online game?

    So really, when you come right down to it, PvP isn't any better than the mess that is PvE right now.

    There, fixed it for you. The desire to get "stuff" with little effort is common to all human beings. No need to insult Americans which, as an American, I resent.

    I returned this month, after leaving 9 months ago (left as v2)... I agree that the grind is still too painful. Dyes, vampire nerf and other changes are nice but veteran ranks kinda kill it.
    I wish I had the choice to level through pvp but it's terrible slow.

    I dont understand this. The game has only been out for 9 months...

    March 30, 2014 was the early start if you preordered and official launch was April 4, 2014. Today is February 13th. You do the maths.
    Texashighelf - VR16 Sorcerer EP NA - FILTHY BARBARIAN
    Texasimperial - VR16 Dragonknight EP NA - How do you like your DK?
    Texas'Imperial - VR16 Dragonknight DC NA - How do you like your DK?
    Texas-Imperial - VR16 Templar DC NA - Queue Clogging Lagsploitter
    Texas Highelf - VR16 Sorcerer DC NA - Queue Clogging Lagsploitter
    Texas Imperial - VR16 Nightblade DC NA - Queue Clogging Lagsploitter
    It's a very grey area.

    So you are saying he left the day the game went live? Somehow he made it to VR2 between march 30th and Fed 4th? I think hes confused was probably 8 months ago he left. The game has been out officially 9 months Feb 4th.

    My friends that left = Cool, you say 1.6 is coming in March.
    Me= yup
    Friends= sweet, I'll come back and checkout Imperial city.
    Me= oh, that's been scratched till probably September.
    Friends= well good, that will give us time to level spellcrafting.
    Me= uh, no, it's been pushed back too.
    Friends= till when
    Me= don't know
    Friends=at least the justice systems in though, right.
    Me= yup
    Friend1=awesome, gonna grind out the Dark brotherhood with me
    Freind 2= those guys are wuss, join the thieves guild, they get stuff
    Me= uh, neither are in till after September, maybe next year, maybe.
    Friend=well, crap, that sucks, what's in 1.6 worth coming back for.
    ME=CHAMPION SYSTEM!
    Friends= wtf?
    Me= it's a new point system.
    Friends=oh, so the veteran systems got huh?
    Me= not till after September, next year maybe.
    Friends=well ***, at least it's not free to play
    Me= well.. .....

    I didn't even mention the crown store, but I hope they sell friends in it, because mine sure as hell won't play this game ever again.

    So much this!

    Zenimax states they are working on this and that and it will be SOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!

    So...

    Imperial City - where is it?
    Murkmire - where is it?
    Wrothgar - where is it?
    Spellcrafting - where is it?
    Dark Brotherhood - where is it?
    Thieves Guild - where is it?

    No news about any of that, no release date for these - 100% DLC - things, nothing.

    That's what's one of the issues - Zenimax is telling so much but delivering nearly nothing.

    $9,99 x 6 times later you got everything they said is coming when there was not even mentioning about the model change...

    ooooo, give me stuff now! I don't want to have to work for it at all!!!!! Awesome American mentality.

    If this is directed at the OP, then I'll have to say it went completely over your head.. To give some background info about us. My community has been around since 1997. We've played plenty of hardcore games such as UO, Shadowbane, and Darkfall to more casual games like WoW and its follow up "clones". We're a very diverse group that have youngsters that will grind through it all. We also have the more older gamers that will take their time and just "enjoy the journey"(seriously one guy read every quest and another just had fun trying to reach the other side of a destroyed bridge..). I'll restate this again. Not one person, out of 70 people, enjoyed vet leveling as a means of progression.
    I used to say it would go a long way if they had just voiced some material to make silver and gold more endgame-ish. Meridia suggests you bring balance to all of Tamriel, so now the silver and gold quests might have the feel of the 1-50, but they focus on something else, the quest to restore balance. Have everyone recognize who you are and what youve done instead of the "no one, not even your friends will remember you" hooey. Make the occasional alliance fanatic attack you because you served (insert high king or queen here) first.

    I know that's a lot of work, but it'd do more for endgame than VR alone ever did.

    I agree.. That's another reason that it feels like such a kick in the teeth after you beat the story. You just have this epic fight with Molag Bal and then it all just goes away like nothing happened. I mean I understand that they went through a lot of effort to fill out 3 factions worth of leveling content, but it's obvious that the extra effort it took is also the same reason they are forcing it on you.

    They probably won't reduce the grind though. I would imagine XP boosters will become one of their top selling items.
