Otherwise sorceres would still be somewhat usable with 3 toggled abilities per bar so we can all be sure that sorceres have no options whatso ever to do decent damage in pve (pvp sorcs are awesome) it had to be done basically I heared that somewhere someone made a usable sorcerer build and zenimax could never allow that. Kidding aside I think this is zenimaxs try to harm shield stacking builds (restro and other shields are mostly on the offbar and offensive skills on the main bar) so they try to stop this build from existing. It will not help much people will just move skills around

I agree. Weapon swap is one of the things I hate the most with 1.6. They tried to make combat more fluid and responsive with some of the animation changes however weapon swap completely negated that.

Yep.

They talk about all the improvements to combat/gameplay, but forget that they shot themselves massively in the foot with this one.

To Zos: Nobody cares about the combat "improvements" if you break the core of it with this combat swap clunkiness.
New players will try it out, and quit because they don't like swap LAG in combat..(who wouldnt?)

Quick proof that this change is the worst thing ever:
- You fighting against a sorc or someone who got an ability which travels (NB got Cripple, Sorcs shard as example)
- You got reflect on your off-bar, so you need to swap weapons for it.
- While you´re fight him you see the animation of the skill, its already on the way.
Two possible ways:
Either you casted a skill right before that and every reaction is useless except a damn dodge or you were lucky, swap weapons fast and use reflect.

From what i understand, the delay was put in so that people do not mistakenly swap weapon twice when hitting the button in lag situations (you hit swap, nothing happens, you think it did not get registered so you hit it again, and it swaps twice back and forth). With the delay, while in lag situation, you can hammer the key 2-3 times to make sure the message got through and you will only see one swap.

If this is a problem, you should be able to swap directly to the bar you want. 1.6 has two new keybinds - besides swap, there are also 'switch to bar 1' and 'switch to bar 2' buttons that (i believe) should have no delay associated with them, since mistakenly switching twice is not possible when using them.

go back to instant weapon swap please Eric Worble!! this gets me killed more then anything with its lack of responsiveness. when you think you swap and you dont you cast an ability on the same damn bar and cant swap again, and when you think you swap you dont and cast the wrong damn bar again and Dead cause i couldnt get to my heal/ sheild. then RAGE.

Yup, I noticed it last night while dueling and messing around at Alessia Farm and Nikel outpost. there is definitely a noticeable cool down to weapon swapping in combat now.
