It's the Call Of Duty mentality. I love it when they jump in COD thinking it's somehow going to save them. I don't care if you crawl, walk, run, or jump around that corner, you're still going to eat an RPG....
I blame Morrowind's Acrobatics. Almost 10 years later and I still instinctively bunnyhop without realizing it.

Once I load up a gameplay video made by a jumping addict, that's all I can think about. Please, stop jumping so much, y'all. I mean you don't have to, but for the sake of me, some anonymous dude on the internet, please stop jumping.
(Not serious... But really, wtf?)

IIRC in Oblivion, acrobatics raised much faster in you suffered some damage as a result of your jumping. Mere running around jumping was a slow process comparatively. I don't know how times I killed myself jumping off a certain hill near the Imperial City.

They should make jumping cost a lil bit of stamina...like very little stamina. Jumping in heavy armor swining and huge sword doesn't make any sense. Plus you can do it all day without breaking a sweat. If you run 10 ft you get exhuasted though. It really throws all the beautiful gameplay and lore out of the window when everyone is getting froggy.
