Haven't played for a while and it seems the dailies are another group based thing.
I don't understand zos's preoccupation with groups.

Should not the focus be on group content when the games suggests online play only on a mega server?

The entire Fighter guild, mages guild and main story and solo-only which seems odd. Then the silver and gold quests are also solo focused....
what more is needed?

There would be a need for both.
The ES series was built on single player content so some people who play this game will want some updates for single player pve. Me included.
I do my group stuff in pvp and want the option to pve by myself.

We showed off some of the other planned DLC in a recent episode of ESO Live, which you can catch here. We'll have more details about each zone later on!

Response:
Yes I do realize this but I'm pointing out that solo-only content doesn't fit into MMO's by design of the marketability of a MMO type
I'm not saying there isn't a need for group content - there is. There is also a need for solo content. And yet, every time someone dares to ask for more solo content, there are always people who trot out the old "it's not a single player game" baloney.
Response:
But its not a single player game. The game literally requires anyone to log into a mega server with others just to play it. Just because TES was a solo only game doesn't mean that this should follow as its not TES 6
A large number of people who play MMOs either don't care for grouping at all, or want to be able to spend a lot of time playing solo, in addition to the time that they spend playing in a group.
Response:
Is this an opinion or a fact? I think its an opinion as a large number of MMO's are targeting an audience who wants to play online in a world full of other players.
And yet, somehow, there are always people who denigrate them and say that they should go play a single player game instead of wanting there to be solo content. There are plenty of good reasons why people may want to play solo, and yet not play a single player game.
Response:
I'm not saying people to do something else but I am saying this game right now is heavily slated towards solo play from level 1 to VR 8. That is literally months of play. The group content can be done in less than 10 days based on level and then the raid content which comes later in VR levels is very, very limited.
Maybe they enjoy solo PVP.
Maybe they enjoy interacting with other players in-game socially, but still want to play solo.
Response:
That is fine but as far as content needs...currently its heavily slated to solo play. Also because of this, those who prefer solo play are running out of content. The PvP campaings also provide A LOT of replay value but playing alone can be dangerous in Cyrodil
Maybe they simply like the gameplay better than the gameplay of similar single player games.
Response:
Absolutely, so to be honest I even made a poll suggestion for more PvE content but its not slated to be solo or group. Its to create and follow the "at war" concept and remove the silver and gold quests. This would essentially be adding a great deal of level 48 - VR14 PvE specific content by adjusting Cyrodil from PvP campaigns to add in a PvE campaign with the benefits of the silver gold quests.
There are tons of reasons.
Just add some solo content. To date they have added Craglorn which is group and DSA which is group and etc etc. How fair is that after a year of playing the game. It is time they add solo/pve content.

Most MMOs primarily add group content in updates. It's only expansion packs that usually add solo content.

I'm not frustrated with ESO because I'm bored and can't find anything to do - there's plenty to do! I'm frustrated with ESO because there's no way for solo players to feel like they've reached the "top" of the game. Sure, you can grind to VR14 like I did, but you still can't fight any mobs that drop best-in-slot gear like the Trial stuff.
It's not like solo players are some tiny minority making unreasonable demands... we're the vast majority! ZoS needs to figure out who their real customers are and create content accordingly.

First off, you have no idea whether you're the majority here. But as this as an MMO, you're being extremely unreasonable.
I know of no MMO in the history of gaming that has allowed someone to get the best-in-slot gear through solo content. Not one. Ever. It makes zero sense in a world where a developer wants to encourage group cooperation.

Why are they so focussed on group cooperation? ES was a solo game you can keep pushing the multi player mantra but many people play this game to solo as it's an ES game. They marketed this game as such. if they sold it as a group only game then sure.
Personally i dont care what other MMOs do.

My point is that this is an MMO on an MMO update schedule. Expansion packs tend to not release as frequently as updates, which is why there tend to be longer dry patches without solo content.
As you've already heard, they have new zones specifically designed for solo play in development. I was simply explaining why you would see more group content released in an MMO setting (hint: it's because of the second "M" in MMO).
Group content is there for when they want to play with others, but MMOs are largely designed around solo content.

Again mmo does not mean group. It just means a lot of people are playing in the same environment. It never did nor never will mean group.

^ This.
I can do almost all content in the game and get most of the sets that I want without interacting with another player....ever.
