You'll receive a pool of XP that you'll gain at an accelerated rate. That amount is 400,000 XP during every 24-hour period. You are able to gain XP at the accelerated rate for up to 3 days worth of time, equaling 1.2 million in XP. This pool of XP can be spent on any of your veteran rank characters.
There should be no way to lose Enlightenment other than earning your allotted XP during that period of time. If you're noticing a loss of Enlightenment after zoning, entering a dungeon, or randomly during your time in-game, and you have not reached that max number of XP, that is not working as designed. We've submitted the reports in this thread to our team, but be sure to continue submitting /bug reports if it continues.
Hopefully this helps to clear up some of your questions.
No there isn't. It's something I would like to see listed in Active Effects.ZOS_JasonLeavey wrote: »Hey all. Here's some specifics about how Enlightenment works:

Any way to actually see how much is left? I have yet to be able to tell.

Not sure you understand. Players earn a 400k pool every day regardless if they are playing or not. Saving 1.2 million from 3 days and spending them all at once is no difference then spending each 400k each day as they are earned.
Enlightenment actually encourages people to log in at least once every 3 days. Be better to log in daily to spend them so there is no risk of loosing some.
Casuals are actually encouraged to use at least some of there enlightenment bonus on a daily basis to make sure they dont go over cap. Use enough enlightenment then on the weekend clear out there stockpile.
You get enlightenment every 24 hours regardless of whether you've been playing or not. I agree with your point, and that is how it was suggested that it was going to work when it was announced, but it doesn't actually seem to work like that.madangrypally wrote: »Enlightenment is a fine idea, but if the way it is set up is encouraging the most active players to not play the game for 3 days so they can have one good extended period of CP gain.... well that's not good at all.

My understanding is that you earn Enlightenment by NOT playing. Otherwise how is it supposed to be helping casuals to keep up with the hardcore people that play 60 hours a week?
if you are not playing, enlightenment will expire after three days. So on fourth day you will lose whatever you didn't spend from day one. So, whoever will play hard core will get more. To use up all enl. you will need get 100k exp per day. If you are less than that you will start losing wrt those who plays 60 hours per week
I don't think it's ever lost, I just think three days is the cap. So after three days, whether you play on the third day or two weeks later, you'll have 1,200,000 EPs to use. Although perhaps reading it another way, that is what you meant.if you are not playing, enlightenment will expire after three days. Everyone knows about the place, it will be way overcrowded once 1.6 goes live.
So you get only 1/3 of the XP per mob. If you get the mob at all...
The situation in Cyrodiil won't be much different in it's result, though it will have other reasons.
There is only few gank-PvP around the quest locations right now, but that may change.
Yet my last 1on1 kill was worth 1,3xx XP which is 5,2xx with enlightenment so this might be worth it.
