Health Modifier 1.5->1.1, Why?

It seems everyone gets insta-killed in pvp and its not really necessary for pve so why did you change that modifier?

Because we like damage shields and the more of them we can stack the happier we are. Right?

It is a weird decision: during beta tests we had a similar ratio of stamina/magicka: health. 1 point - 10 stam/mag/health. Only later they've increased health gains due to players feedback.

They changed it during the last couple of weeks. In the ESO live show they had a new provisioning recipe with the old multiplier. And now it's a 1.06 factor which strikes me as a super weird multiplier in the first place. How did they even come up with that factor? Feels random and unnecessary.

So that it's too complicated to see any ninja-nerfs with the blank eye.
I just wish they would've simply scaled everything up x10 including health, that way we'd have had a guideline of how much health we need for our roles or whether the dps we're dealing is good or bad.

I'd have been even more happy if we'd kept the old values and they increased the amounts of decimals, something like a spelldamage stat of 171.21 instead of 1712.1.

Just my 2 cents, i'd keep an eye out for ninja-nerfs or inconsistencies though since the new health values aren't as transparent as the previous ones.

actually it used to be 20 health, 10 magicka and stamina, they lowered it to 15 shortly there after (as it was NO choice, all in health period)

Base stats took a massive hit in 1.6:
As I pointed out in this thread- hardly anything levelled in a 1-10 manner.Regardless of the ratio, I think many people are finding that the Champion Points aren't making up what was subtracted from multiple stats in the conversion from live to PTS.

    FEEDBACK
    • I understand that with the addition of champion points some balancing was required so that we didn't walk around in god mode, but why were they nerfed by that much?
    • However, the champion points I have don't seem to make up the difference.Other people are finding the same issue. See this thread, and this one
    • Does the total amount of champion points in the game= the amount needed to get back to our previous stats?Because if they do, that's totally not cool.
    • How many champion points will I need to get my stats back?
    • How much XP will I need to get enough champion points to combat the nerf?
    • How long will it take me to get that much XP?

Even based on your own charts your hp was scaled 1:7 as well as many other stats in almost same manner. Now mobs health seems to be also scaled 1:7 manner.

In order to get your old stats back you somehow need to divide your stats with 7, dunno if there are enough debuffs for that. Somehow everyone has some idea that everything must and should have been scaled 1:10 and thinks they are nerfed because it's not exactly times 10.

So let's say they would have just scaled everything times 10 and added champion system on top of that, after a while how easy the game would be? Everyone would be facerolling everything in this game and not finding any challenge anywhere except in pvp where you face opponents who are as powerful.

This statement makes your thread relatively hard to consider seriously.
For now I think it's too hard to judge, given the huge amount of balance changes coming with update 6. It's weird to see that weapon/armor sets still use the old 1.5 ratio instead of 1.1 though.

My health may have scaled at same rate as mobs..However,other stats took a hit. My armour is now pitiful. If you couple that with the scaling (nerf) to enchants, jewelery etc ,I'm not fighting a mob on a 1:7 Ratio all round. Regardless of the ratio, the champion points aren't making up the difference of what was subtracted in the conversion. Good idea about dividing stats to work out xp/cps needed:) Time to put maths brain on and see if it can be done.

I understand that the addition of champion points means the game needs to be adjusted. I just didn't realise I would have to grind champion points in order to get my stats back to where they were,so that I have a hope of surviving content that I successfully completed before.

So long as all creatures followed this reduction, why not?

Why should the meta of "Put everything into health because it's worth more" be the standard?

You still get slightly more benefit from Health than you do from Magicka/Stamina, just not the absurd 50% that you got before.

It keeps one stat from completely skewing things in one direction - requiring more thought into placement than it one time did.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

It was known before the 1.6 in pts that armors will be rebalanced. True some things like crit% was nerfed in eq but most things prolly fit in the general scaling. So do you even know what your stats should be unnerfed in the new system with exception of static numbers that cannot be scaled like %? Where you base the nerfs other than 1:7 scaling mostly on base attributes?

Hmm...oh, you're right. My bad. It was something we had with enchants. Health was giving same amount as magicka/stamina

I could tell that enchants had not levelled up similarly. However, you have a fair point- no one will just take my word for it. The following shows that our enchants levelled up in a far smaller ratio than all the mobs health at 1.7 and above :
