Why did I have to create a new character to play on the PTS?

I downloaded the PTS to try out the new updates and check out the crown store but I had to create a new character and could not access any of my other ones.

My question is, because I have logged in with this new character and now have my allotment of crowns, will they now be bound to that character? :neutral_face:

    Currently, the EU was copied onto PTS. So only those characters are available, and if you didn't have a character on the EU server, you have to use a template or wait until the next patch when they will probably flip again.

    As far as crowns or anything else on PTS, that is on PTS. What happens on PTS stays on PTS. And only during the current patch period.
