It's always been blatantly OP, always. ZOS refused to tweak the damage a bit, and getting hit by 2-3 snipes at once is nothing new, even if you get a 200 ms lag spike it can cause all three arrows to hit you at once, resulting in insta kill, unless you're blocking with stacked damage shields and lots of Hitpoints. Blame ZOS, blame the bow users that know it's OP, and blame poor game design.
I feel ya, everytime I swap from my DK to my NB it hurts... Being a sap tank it's not so bad cause I'm permablocking and have 4 HoTs going at all times + Sap Essence spam. So I heal the 400-500 damage it does through block near instantaneously, but if I get heal debuffed with enough of them on me. A bunch of skills in 1.6 can get to a base damage of around 5k, with crits going up to 7-8k.
Also, crushing shock isn't really comparable as it is an instant and an interrupt (funny mentioning snipe and interrupt in the same sentence...). The better comparison would be crystal frags.

crystal frags doesnt even hit this hard. I have themundus stone that increase crit damage and have gear that increases mundus stone effects...welcome to the new impen, you got crit.
